Tuesday from UglyDolls
Tuesday is one of the minor antagonists in UglyDolls. She is a Perfection doll who is part of the Spy Girls. While sassy like Kitty and Lydia, she can also be air-headed and forgetful. Tuesday spends much of her time trying to impress Lou, although he shows no interest in her. Use this costume guide to dress in her school uniform.
Emma Gilbert
Emma Gilbert is one of the three main characters in Nickelodeon’s H2O: Just Add Water. The series takes place on the Gold Coast of Australia. A strange encounter with the magical moonpool on Mako Island turns the girls into mermaids! Now Emma, Cleo, and Rikki must navigate life as a human on land and mermaid in the water. Emma is the responsible one of the group, though she can sometimes act bossy. Her mermaid power is freezing water. Claire Holt, known for her later role in The Vampire Diaries, portrayed this character in the first two seasons.
Ahsoka Tano from The Mandalorian
In The Mandalorian, Ahsoka Tano is the lightsaber duel-wielding Jedi Padawan of Anakin Skywalker. She made her live-action debut in season 2, where she encountered Grogu and Mando. Rosario Dawson reprises her role in The Book of Boba Fett and her own series, Ahsoka.
Sarah from Assassination Nation
Sarah Lacey (played by Suki Waterhouse) is a main character in the dark comedy satire film Assassination Nation. Alongside her sister Em and friends Lily and Bex, Sarah must survive the town of Salem after chaos and violence erupt in the wake of a hacker leaking private data. Sarah has soft pink hues added to her blonde hair, which can be achieved with hair chalk or a wig. When recreating her most iconic look from the film, you can substitute a plain red trench coat if you’re not willing to shell out for the shiny leather replica jacket.
Abuela Alma Madrigal in Encanto
Alma Madrigal is a character in Disney’s Encanto. Referred to as Abuela, she is the matriarch of the Madrigal family and head of the magical village. Her husband, Pedro, sacrificed himself to invaders so she could escape with their three newborn children, Pepa, Bruno, and Julieta. A miracle blessed them and her candle, vanquishing the opposing army and creating La Casa Madrigal. Her care for the community causes her to put too much pressure on her family’s gifts, and thus she can be controlling and harsh. When the casita begins to crumble, Mirabel helps her grandmother understand the real miracle lies within the Madrigal family bond.
Lily from Assassination Nation
Lily Colson (played by Odessa Young) is a main character in the satire film Assassination Nation. Lily and her three best friends, Bex, Em, and Sarah are all high school seniors. When a hacker begins leaking private information about Lily and others in her hometown of Salem, the residents descend into violence. Lily is a pretty teenager with a rebellious side. She is often seen wearing her pink Vans Sk8-Hi shoes. However, it can be almost impossible to find an exact match, so go for a pair of high-tops in a similar shade of pink. Likewise, the red jackets the girls wear after the hack takes place can be expensive to track down, but a plain red trench coat can get the point across just as well.
Janine Melnitz from Ghostbusters
Janine Melnitz is the inexplicably loyal – if somewhat exasperated – receptionist for the Ghostbusters, played by the ever-memorable Annie Potts. She put herself between the Ghostbusters and a possessed Louis Tully, not to mention the Ghostbusters and the EPA. She does a kind of busting all her own and her distinctly ’80s outfits would make a great cosplay.
Janine’s outfit is quintessential ’80s. A short brown wig, large glasses on a red cord, a red button down, black skirt, black tights, and simple black heels all say ’80s office worker. The look is wrapped up by a sleeveless shrug in grey that you’ll need to add black stripes to using black fabric markers.
Libby Folfax from Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius
Libby Folfax is a character in the Nickelodeon show, Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius. While she’s often the voice of reason in class, her singing voice is off-key. She is the best friend of Cindy Vortex, and often shares the same opinion. When Libby helps battle mummies in Egypt by posing as an ancient queen, who happened to be her identical ancestor, she keeps her hair in dreadlocks. She also gets an outfit change from a casual dress to a striped sweater and jeans.
Sailor Jupiter from Sailor Moon
Makoto Kino (voiced by Emi Shinohara and Amanda Céline Miller) is a Sailor Guardian in the anime and manga series Sailor Moon. Known as Sailor Jupiter when in her Sailor form, Makoto is an orphan, having lost her parents in a plane crash. She is tomboyish and loves cooking. Makoto has long brown hair that she wears in a ponytail. Her school uniform consists of a khaki skirt and matching blouse. Finding an exact match can be tough, but you can recreate the look with a similarly colored sailor sweatshirt (though you may want to pin the rabbit ears on the hood out of sight). When fighting evil by moonlight with Sailor Moon and the rest of the Guardians, Sailor Jupiter’s costume is dark green with matching boots. In both her civilian and Sailor forms, she wears pink rosebud earrings and a green hair tie in her hair.
