Bee and PuppyCat from “Lazy In Space”
Bee and her pet companion, PuppyCat, are back for a second season inĀ Bee and PuppyCat: Lazy in Space. The Cartoon Hangover series created by Natasha Allegri delighted fans in the first season with colorful animation and its unique storyline. When Bee and PuppyCat find their pockets empty, they explore the strange worlds in space to work bizarre jobs. Adhere the hair bows onto the white skirt with hot glue. We can see a sliver of pink fabric underneath, so to add shape as well as accuracy, wear the pink petticoat underneath. Don’t forget your PuppyCat, with actual sounds from the show voiced by Vocaloid Oliver.
Lenore from Castlevania
Lenore (voiced by Jessica Brown Findlay in Castlevania) is one of the members of Styria’s Council of Sisters. Carmilla placed Lenore in charge of convincing Hector the forge master to join their side again after being tortured and kept as a prisoner for months. Lenore’s personality matches her occupation as the council’s diplomat. She fronts as trusting and kind with good intentions but is actually quite manipulative and works connivingly to get her way. Lenore’s style is quite dainty. She wears a warm outfit due to the cold climate she and her sisters live in. If you are dressing for a summer or warm weather cosplay event I recommend going with something short-sleeved and wearing a lighter white shawl. Make sure to apply blush liberally across your cheekbones! This is a great costume and ideal for any late fall/winter cosplay event or costume party.
Hector from Castlevania
Hector (played by Theo James) in the Netflix animated series Castlevania is a young and often naive devil forge master. Once he was one of two human generals within Dracula’s army. Carmilla tricked Hector into leaving Dracula’s castle and becoming part of her promised new army. Unfortunately for Hector when things come apart at the seams he is made Carmilla’s prisoner and brought back to Styria only to be thrown in a dungeon. Later Lenore, Carmilla’s sister, strikes a deal with him he can not refuse.
This Hector costume is from the later seasons where he is enslaved by Carmilla and not wearing his traditional forge master attire. He is also without his hammer. The costume is very simple and would work great as a couple costume with someone dressed as Lenore for any cosplay event.
Morana from Castlevania
Morana voiced by Yasmine Al Massri in the Netflix animated series Castlevania is one of the show’s antagonists. She is a member of The Council of Sisters and serves as both the strategist and economist. Morana has been the face ruling Styria while Carmilla has been away. Morana and Striga work in unison to keep the kingdom running. The two have been romantic partners for a very long time and rely on each other for thoughtful decision making when it comes to the kingdom. Morana’s color schemes include royal blue, white, gold, and wine red. For this outfit, I suggest closing the Royal Blue Long Sleeve Bolero Cardigan with the Gold Stone and Chain Brooch. If you’d like you can look up tutorials to do a full eyelid winged liner look with the blue eyeliner. Another important tip is that you can use your everyday liquid foundation on the Long Elf Ears. Dab it on with a beauty blender so it will match your skin tone. This ornate costume will surely have you standing out from the crowd at any cosplay event.
Trevor Belmont from Castlevania
Trevor Belmont voiced by Richard Armitage in the Netflix animated series Castlevania is the main protagonist. Trevor’s lineage is that of the Belmont Clan, famously known as a family of vampire killers. He is the last known survivor of his family. During his travels, Trevor meets The Speakers in a town names Gresit. He notices how the people of the town prosecute them and tries to lend a helping hand. An elderly man tells Trevor that his grandson is in the catacombs seeking “the sleeping soldier” who would defeat Dracula’s army. Trevor finds Sypha Belnades turned to stone and defeats a cyclops in the catacombs. After returning above ground in Gresit, the two accidentally land back in the catacombs while battling monsters. This is where the find “the sleeping soldier” who is revealed to be Alucard. The three travel together to gather information and defeat Dracula’s army. Trevor’s personality is a bit cocky and sarcastic. He is especially rude to and untrusting of Alucard due to their family’s century-old history of hatred for each other.
Trevor’s costume deals with a lot of layering. I first recommend ordering two sizes of stencils or making your own with an Exacto knife and mylar paper. If you do decide to order a pre-cut stencil I would choose a small 4×4, and a larger 8×12 or bigger. These stencils will be for the Belmont Crest (you can find high res pictures on google). The smaller crest will go on the right side of your White Medieval Gothic Shirt. You will need to put cardboard in between and use a stencil brush for the cleanest look.Ā Now do that on the Brown Vest and/or The Black And Red Hooded Cloak using the same process. Once your crests are dry you can put on the outfit. The White shirt will go over your pants, followed by the Red Medieval Cowl (wrap it around almost like if you were tying a flannel around your hips). Keep everything in place with the black leather belt at your waist. Next put on the Red Harness and then the Brown Vest. after that, you can put on the other accessories. Once completed you will have a very original DIY costume for any cosplay event.
Carmilla from Castlevania
Carmilla (played by Jaime Murray in the Castlevania animated series) is the Vampiress Queen of Styria. She was a former general of lord Dracula’s army but by all accounts has become a traitor. She tricked the devil forgemaster Hector into joining her and then held him as her prisoner. She now plots to usurp control over the other vampires and create an army that will force humankind into fear and submission. Carmilla notably has a color scheme of red and gold with long white hair. I recommend using the white mascara in both your eyelashes and eyebrows to complete the vampiric look.
Sypha Belnades from Castlevania
Sypha Belnades (played by Alejandra Reynoso in the Castlevania animated series) is a sorceress with control over the elements. Her people, the speakers, are a nomadic tribe of scholars and magicians. Syphas people were wrongly accused of causing Dracula’s mass murders of humans and therefor were mostly in hiding. Sypha herself presented as a young man so she would not be accused of being a witch. She met Trevor Belmont in The Catacombs after being turned back from stone once he killed the cyclops that attacked her. The two start working together shortly after and decide to start on a quest to kill Dracula and defeat his army. Sypha’s Costume requires a good amount of layering. I recommend turning the Teal Mesh Poncho Top inside out and cutting from the bottom along the seam until you reach the top of the shoulder. This will give more visibility to the layers underneath the poncho. Use the bandage wrap over her tank top which should be tucked into her skirt. This is a fun simple DIY costume that will be a great choice for any cosplay event.
Isaac from Castlevania
Isaac (played by Adetokumboh M’Cormack in the Netflix series Castlevania) is Dracula’s human right-hand man and one of the two devil forge masters in Dracula’s army. Unlike his naive counterpart Hector, Isaac is extremely loyal and passionate about ending humanity. He has seen the dark side of humanity from an early age and although he may technically be a major antagonist in Castlevania, one can not help but feel for Isaac. He is a complex character that has as much willpower to build an army of demons as he has compassion for those who are kind to him. Isaac’s costume takes a bit of layering. You will need to wear the Black Leather Neck Seal underneath the Medieval Black Lace Up V-Neck Long Sleeve. After tucking the long sleeve into the Medieval Trouser Pants you can wrap the Wine Red Sash Belt around your waist. After this, you can go about adding the other accessories. Once everything is on you will be ready for any cosplay event or Halloween party.
Striga from Castlevania
Striga (played by Ivana Milicevic in the Netflix series Castlevania) is one of the members of the council of sisters. Her role in the council is serving as the head general to the army of vampires. Striga and Morana work closely side by side keeping Styria up and running. They are also in a loving relationship and are the main rulers of Styria when Carmilla is away. Striga has a serious nature and is weary towards rash decision making when it comes to the welfare of her empire. Her thoughtful decision making skills show her to be a great military strategist. Striga’s costume takes a considerable amount of wrapping. After putting on the White Gothic Dress fold the Black Medieval Cowl around your waist so that the fabric goes a bit above your waist and falls down to your lower thigh. The cowl has a pin but if you want extra security I suggest using safety/dress pins where you feel is necessary. The you will wrap the Wine Red Sash over the black cowl. Use the sash to cover up the cowls pin if it is very visible. The sash should go a bit above the waist and end close to the hips. This may also require safety/dress pins to keep tight. Once everything feels secure you can wrap the belt around your waist.Ā I suggest doing your make up now. The Costume Vampire Ears can be matched to your skin tone with the daily foundation you use. You can over draw your brows to make them look stronger if youd like. After getting the Vampire Fangs on, apply the Lime Crime Velvetines Liquid Matte Lipstick In ‘Gigi.’ Once your make up is done put on The Black Leather Single Shoulder Cover and Black Leather Spiked Bracer. Finally, wrap the Royal Blue Cowl around your neck and put on the Black Leather Foldover Boots and you are all set. This is a great costume especially if you are doing group castlevania costumes with some friends or a couple costume with someone dressed as Morana. Castlevania costumes work well for both cosplay events and Halloween parties!
Vicky from The Fairly OddParents
“Go to bed, twerp!” Vicky is an antagonist in Nickelodeon’s Fairly Odd Parents. Ruthless and sadistic, she is Timmy Turner’s evil babysitter. To get revenge for her constant torture, Timmy relies on his fairy god parents, Cosmo and Wanda. She appears in most all the movie specials as his main rival. Chip Skylark writes a song about her, titled “Icky Vicky.” While the song describes her as “a fire breathing dragon in a pair of black jeans,” you can replace the jeans with black leggings. You can crop the t-shirt and wear pink contacts for added accuracy.
