Beach Head from GI Joe
In GI Joe, Beach Head (voiced by William Callaway) is the codename of Wayne R. Sneeden, a Ranger on the Joe Team. He’s known for his unwavering patience and dedication, the first to wake up and run 10-miles before breakfast. His look has changed over the years, but you can always find him wearing a green balaclava hood that hides his true appearance.
Mercury from Milky Way and the Galaxy Girls
Milky Way and the Galaxy Girls is a cartoon concept that was pitched to Hasbro by Lauren Faust. Although Hasbro passed on it, it eventually morphed into the highly successful My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. MWGG is inspired by the 90’s Strawberry Shortcake series, with a dash of the anime Sailor Moon, with the girls as the personification of different planets. Mercury’s winged sneaker-skates propel her through the cosmos in a shimmery silver flash at the speed of light.
Stormer from Jem and the Holograms
In Jem and the Holograms, Stormer (real name Mary Philips) is a member of The Misfits, alongside Pizzazz and Roxy. Stormer is the youngest member of the band, and the group’s lyricist and keytar player. She goes along with her bandmates in upstaging Jem at every opportunity, but also has a softer side.
Pizzazz from Jem and the Holograms
In Jem and the Holograms, Pizzazz (real name Phyllis Margaret Gabor, which she can’t stand) is the main vocalist and guitarist of the rock band The Misfits. She dresses in classic 1980s garb, with neon green, hot pink, and animal print from head to toe. She wants fame above all else, and harbors jealousy towards Jem.
Trixie
Trixie (Kathleen Barr) is an illusionist pony who resides in Ponyville, and is close friends with the reformed Starlight Glimmer (Kelly Sheridan). She acts as both a villain and a hero throughout My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, often falling victim to her own pride and ambition. She often dramatically refers to herself as “The Great and Powerful Trrrrrixie!”
Starlight Glimmer
Starlight Glimmer’s (Kelly Sheridan) first major appearance in My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is as an antagonist, when she founds a village that bans individuality and strips ponies of their Cutie Marks using magic. After the Mane Six reveal that she’s a fraud, she takes revenge of them by traveling through time to wreak havoc on Equestria. She is defeated again, and Twilight Sparkle (Tara Strong) takes her under her wing as a student, beginning to teach her about the magic of friendship.
Power Rangers
In the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, a team of youths recruited and trained by a mentor called Zordon to morph into the eponymous Power Rangers. They then become able to utilize special powers and pilot immense assault machines, called Zords, in order to overcome the evil Rita Repulsa.
Jem
Who didn’t want to be Jem during the 1980’s? The second Jerrica Benton touched her holographic earrings Syngergy transformed her into the dazzling rock star, Jem. Between running a foster program for teens, driving a sweet Rolls Royce, and romancing Rio it’s surprising that Jem found time for belting out tunes. But she and the Holograms managed to outperform the Misfits in every episode. And she did it wearing a lot of pink.
