Genevieve Delacroix from Bridgerton
Genevieve is a character from the popular historical drama Netflix series Bridgerton, and is played by Kathryn Drysdale. Genevieve is a character we see many times throughout the seasons, as she is the local dressmaker for all the women we see in the series.
To dress like Genevieve, wear a deep navy regency-style dress, a navy flower hair clip, pearl teardrop shaped earrings, and to create her necklace: take a pearl necklace and attach a black charm or earring like the one linked to resemble her own.
Eloise from Bridgerton
Eloise is a character from the popular historical drama Netflix series Bridgerton, and is played by Claudia Jessie. Eloise is a character that has appeared in every season of the show and is the best friend of Penelope Bridgerton, until they have a falling out. Eloise is a funny character that is not interested in the prospect of traditional marriage like her peers.
To dress like Eloise in her blue costume, wear a teal half-cape over a light blue regency dress. Another look where she’s over-the-top dressed up, wear an ivory or cream regency dress, white opera gloves, and attach a large ostrich feather to a tiara/ headband.
Simon Basset from Bridgerton
Simon is a character from the popular historical drama Netflix series Bridgerton, and is played by Rege-Jean Page. Simon is the love interest of season one of the series, and only appears within that season. He ends up marrying the diamond of the season, Daphne Bridgerton.
To dress like Simon, wear a black or blue vest, a white regency-style shirt, a black cravat, black pants, and a black coat.
Kate Sharma from Bridgerton
Kate Sharma is a character from the popular historical drama Netflix series Bridgerton, and is played by Simone Ashley. Kate is the main character we follow throughout season two of the series and she ends up marrying Anthony Bridgerton.
To dress like Kate, wear a purple regency-style dress, pink opera gloves, a rose gold tiara/ headband. To resemble her iconic turquoise costume she wears out hunting with Anthony, take a cropped turquoise blue blazer like the one linked, remove or cut off the peplum bottom piece or crop it shorter, tuck in a sheer white scarf in the neckline and wear over a regency dress. You can also take a blue top hat or another light color and paint over it with turquoise fabric paint to match the jacket/ blazer.
Colin Bridgerton from Bridgerton (Season 3)
Colin Bridgerton is a character we focus on mostly in this new third season, and is played by Luke Newton. Colin is a character we see throughout the season and someone we’re familiar with, but this season he becomes the main love interest of Penelope Featherington. Colin comes back this season with a new cool attitude and style.
To dress like Colin this season, wear a brown coat layered over a navy tailcoat, blue ruffle-collar shirt, gray printed vest, navy trousers, and brown riding boots.
Lord Debling from Bridgerton (Season 3)
Lord Debling is a character from the new third season of Bridgerton, and is played by Sam Phillips. Lord Debling is a character we meet while following the true star of this new season, Penelope Featherington. Penelope meets him in the season right in the middle of her falling head-over-heels for Colin Bridgerton, and so far she has gotten to the point of almost marrying Debling. He’s a kind and mature gentlemen who has strong interests in history and reading.
To dress like Lord Debling, wear a black tailcoat, black regency trousers, a white ruffle collar shirt, cream and gold embroidered vest, and tall black boots. Another look of his during the day and outdoors features a gray wool coat and deep brown or black top hat.
Marmee from Little Women (2019)
Marmee is a character from (the 2019 version) Little Women, directed by Greta Gerwig, and is played by Laura Dern. Little Women follows the classic story of sisters who are artists with big dreams and personalities. It follows the struggles and joys they all encounter together in the civil-war era.
Marmee is the mother of the March sisters. To dress like Marmee as she dresses at Meg’s wedding, for this wearable take on it, wear a green dress/ coat layered over a red skirt that matches a red/ rust-colored wide velvet ribbon at the collar. For another look, wear a long sleeve navy blue dress with a striped apron at the waist.
Anthony Bridgerton
Anthony is from the popular regency drama series Bridgerton, played by Jonathan Bailey. He is in both seasons of the show, and is one of the two main characters in the second season, playing the love interest of Kate Sharma.
Anthony is the eldest son and Viscount of the Bridgerton family. He wears Regency-Era costumes that feature double-breasted vests, tailcoats, white shirts, caravats, and the occasional top hat. The colors he wears are lots of blues and purples, that complement Kate’s perfectly on screen.
Mary Tudor from The Tudors
Long before she was Bloody Mary, Mary Tudor was just the daughter of a king. A daughter pushed aside by her father when her mother fell out of favor. Then further still when first a sister and then a brother were born. Sarah Bolger plays her to perfection on “The Tudors”. And though the show doesn’t go on long enough to see the tyrant Mary would become, Bolger does an amazing job showing how a sweet girl can turn into the woman now remembered as Bloody Mary.
To copy her look, or something close to it, you’ll need a Tudor gown. Since the fashions of Mary’s day hinged on small details and intricate work that is expensive to reproduce, the gown above is simpler than something she would have worn but it is a similar style. The white socks and red flats aren’t period-accurate but they’re close enough while still being versatile pieces that can transition into other cosplays. And of course Mary would never be caught without her rosary. Finally a long brown wig and a regal red Tudor necklace complete the look.
Anne Boleyn from The Tudors
Anne Boleyn – both the character and the actual woman – was cunning and clever. She knew how life at court worked and did all she could to make the best life for herself in a world that seemed stacked against her. Natalie Dormer’s portrayal of her is a fan favorite from The Tudors and brought new attention to the tragic life lived by the mother of Queen Elizabeth the First.
Though Anne wears several gowns on the show one of her most popular is the yellow gown she wears to Catherine’s funeral. Given the intricate styles of the Tudor era it is hard to easily replicate the dress. Etsy sellers have a few listed, one of which is pictured to the left in the image above. The option to the right is from Amazon. With either option you’ll want a hoop to fill out the skirt, a brunette wig, and a Boleyn necklace. A pair of thigh high socks and white ballet slippers dyed yellow finish the look.
