A groupie like no other, Columbia (Nell Campbell) dresses as though she should be leading a circus instead of drooling over Dr. Frank-N-Furter in Rocky Horror Picture Show. In Rocky Horror Picture Show, when Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry) isn’t wearing hospital scrubs he’s strutting his stuff in fishnets and platform heels. While we can’t promise that imitating his look will transform you into a “Sweet Transvestite from Transexual Transylvanian” we can assure you that nearly everyone will know where you got your inspiration. Dr. Frank-N-Furter has a style that is unmistakable.

After a tornado transports Dorothy Gale (Judy Garland) and her little dog, Toto, to the Land of Oz, she’s off to see the Wizard, the wonderful Wizard of Oz. He agrees to help her get back home but only after she destroys the Wicked Witch of the West. She’s joined by the Cowardly Lion, the Tinman and the Scarecrow as she travels the yellow brick road. Bert, who’s played by Dick Van Dyke in Mary Poppins, is a jack-of-all-trades. He’s a chimney sweep, a one-man band, and a screeve. Not only can he hold down multiple jobs but he can also dance with the best of them including penguins and fellow chimney sweepers on the rooftops of London.

Wicked gives the backstory of Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz. Born with green skin, she’s is neglected in favor of her beautiful sister Nessarose. When Elphaba starts college, she’s ignored in favor of her popular roommate Galinda. When they’re ready to fly, Galinda gets a bubble while Elphaba gets a dirty broomstick. How’s that fair?

Dr. Horrible is an aspiring supervillain who ends each day by reflecting on his personal blog while cheesy synth music plays overhead. Remember to address him properly, because he “didn’t spend 6 years getting a PhD in Horribleness to be called mister.”
