Cha-Cha from The Umbrella Academy
Cunning and sadistic, Agent Cha-Cha (Mary J. Blige) works for The Handler as a time-traveling assassin, who does her job to prevent cataclysmic ends to the world (or allow them, if it’s for the greater good of the timeline) and likes it. Her current target is the Umbrella Academy’s Number Five. Does it concern her ever so slightly that her partner, Hazel, has gotten distracted and just a little bit softhearted over the friendly proprietor of the local doughnut shop? It is entirely possible.
Karen Page from Daredevil
Karen Paige (played by Deborah Ann Woll in both Daredevil and The Punisher) is a secretary-turned-sleuth that works with Matt Murdock and Foggy Nelson. After nearly being convicted of a murder she didn’t commit she goes to work with the two men and ends up embroiled in a whole new Battle for New York that lands her in the direct path of the most dangerous people in the city. Not least of which are Daredevil and The Punisher. Smart and determined, though, Karen makes it through and does her best to keep her friends alive and together in the process.
Although Karen often ends up in dangerous situations she dresses professionally. She wears her long blonde wig down and prefers blouses with pencil skirts and stilettos. Though she usually wears little to no makeup she will dress up as the occasion calls for. And of course she is never without paper, pen, and her phone so she can keep track of the news and clues that come her way.
Fifteen Million Merits
“Fifteen Million Merits” is the second episode of the dystopian thriller, Black Mirror. The plot revolves around a group of people who ride stationary bikes to earn merits that pay for their daily activities. Bing (Daniel Kaluuya) inherits fifteen million merits from his deceased brother, which he uses to buy Abi (Jessica Brown Findlay) a ticket for the televised talent show, Hot Shot. She sings “Anyone Who Knows What Love Is (Will Understand),” a song that’s used throughout the series.
Allison Hargreeves from The Umbrella Academy Season 2
Allison Hargreeves is a character from the Darkhorse comic series, The Umbrella Academy. In the Netflix adaptation of the same name, she is portrayed by Emmy Raver-Lampman. Known as Number Three or “The Rumor,” Allison can persuade anyone to do anything simply by saying “I heard a rumor.” In the second season, she ends up in the 1960s and starts working at a hair salon. She gets married to Ray Chestnut, changing her surname from Hargreeves to Chestnut. She has to deal with the racism of the era as well as hiding her powers from her husband. When the Hargreeves siblings reunite, she’s forced to tell him the truth. Compared to Allison’s original subdued look, new sense of style fits with the decade, opting for bangs and trading black leather for vibrant colors.
