Carbon Costume

Mina Mongoose is a character from the Archi Comics Sonic the Hedgehog series.  Mina is one of three girls who vie for Sonic‘s affections throughout the series.  Mina is also a successful singer, and her nickname “Songoose” references that.  Finding purple and green striped clothing to match Mina’s exactly might be difficult, but if you stick with the green and purple color scheme while choosing pieces with a similar silhouette, you’ll be good to go!  If the iridescent platform boots are too high (or too highly-priced), a pair of green shoes to match your arm warmers could easily be used instead.

Tails is Sonic the Hedgehog’s faithful sidekick. The two have been through so many adventures together that listing them all here – or the voice actors, artists, and writers involved – would create a book! Needless to say Tails always has Sonic’s back and this costume will always have yours!

There are a few ways to cosplay as Tails. The first uses body paint and clothes you might find in your closet to create the color of Tails’ fur. The other uses an orange body suit and white felt for Tails’ body and face paint to create his orange and white facial features.

Both looks require white gloves, slouchy white socks, red and a white sneakers, and – of course – two tails in addition to an orange wig and fox ears.

Fiona the Fox is one mean miss! She’s been with a variety of villainous crews and is particularly fond of Scourge the Hedgehog. She does have a few nice bones in her body and can do the right thing. But it all depends on how Fiona will come out in the end.

Fiona’s outfit matches her rough reputation. You can mimic her fox-like look with red ears, a red tail, a red body suit, a red wig, and face paint. Or you can just go with the ears and tail along with the rest of her outfit. The only color in her outfit is an orange hair bow, a nod to her original costume. Otherwise she wears a black crop top, black fingerless gloves, crossed black studded belts, black pants, and black boots. Boots with silver toes are hard to find but you can mimic the look with paint or metallic tape. Just be careful since either alteration is going to be permanent!

In the Sonic comics, Breezie is a savvy businesswoman. Whether she’s a good guy or a bad guy depends on who you ask and which comic you’re on. But whether she’s good or bad, there’s no denying she’s driven and will go to any lengths to reach her goals!

If you’re going to dress as Breezie then the first thing you need is a red power suit and a matching pair of red pumps. A white button down shirt and ascot round out her clothing while chunky gold bracelets are her only accessories. Finally, teal tights, white gloves, a teal wig, and face paint give you the tools you need to become Breezie the Hedgehog!

Vanilla the Rabbit is a character in the anime and comic series Sonic X. She is the mother of Cream the Rabbit, whom she loves dearly. While Vanilla is very forgiving towards her daughter, she stresses the importance of good manners. She is kind and towards everyone, and enjoys sewing and baking.

Agent Stone (played by Lee Majdoub) is Dr. Robotnik’s faithful assistant in the Sonic the Hedgehog movie. He is often at the mercy of Robotnik’s volatile temper. Agent Stone maintains a crisp and professional appearance with a well-groomed beard and simple black suits.

In the Sonic the Hedgehog movie, Tom Wachowski (played by James Marsden) is a friend of Sonic and sheriff of Green Hills, Montana. Tom is an invaluable ally who helps Sonic defeat Dr. Robotnik. While Tom can be found wearing a variety of clothing, he is often spotted in his sheriff’s uniform while patrolling Green Hills.

Dr. Ivo “Eggman” Robotnik (played by Jim Carrey) is the main villain in the Sonic the Hedgehog movie. Dr. Robotnik undergoes a stark transformation during the course of the film, evolving from a far more normal looking man into the bald-headed, mustachioed villain who is well-recognized by fans of Sega. Dr. Robotnik’s costumes evolve from a plan black outfit, to a red and black uniform before Dr. Robotnik’s clothes (and sanity) are damaged during his final confrontation with Sonic.
