Morshu from Link: The Faces of Evil

Morshu is a merchant who sells lamp oil, rope, and bombs to Link in The Faces of Evil video game from the Zelda series on the Philips CD-i system.  Morshu is a shrewd businessman and will not sell goods to Link if he does not have enough rubies.  Morshu wears green pants, a matching hat, and an orange shirt with a brown and yellow vest over top.

Midna from Zelda

Midna from Zelda

Midna (voiced by Akiko Koumoto) is the former leader of the Twili people. She made her debut on The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Nintendo Gamecube and Wii. Though her people are known for wielding great magic she has been stripped of hers and – for most of the franchise – is trapped in her imp form. Both her imp form and her true form make for excellent cosplay costumes!

For her imp form you will want to find a custom cosplay headpiece from Etsy. Worn over a yellow spiked wig it gives you the most iconic part of her appearance. From there face paint and a light blue body suit modified with black fabric paint gives you the rest of her look.

If you want to cosplay her true form you will need a ginger wig that you style in the unique manner Midna prefers to wear it. A black bikini top , black wrap skirt, and black cloak finish off her clothing. You can use body paint to achieve the blue-skinned look of her concept art or you can choose to stick with your natural skin tone if body paint is not appealing!

Medli from Legend of Zelda - The Wind Waker

Medli from Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker

Medli is a young, kindhearted Rito (bird person) living on Dragon Roost Island. She befriends Link on his oft-sidetracked quest to rescue his little sister during the events of The Wind Waker, and assists him in her capacity as the apprentice caretaker of Valoo the dragon. When I first saw this character while playing The Wind Waker for the first time, I immediately fell in love with her cute aesthetic and kindhearted nature. Naturally, I had to recreate her costume!

Ceremonial Princess Zelda from Breath of the Wild

In the century prior to the main events of Breath of the Wild, Princess Zelda (Yu Shimamura / Patricia Summersett) and her allies fought against Calamity Ganon. Dressed in ceremonial garb, Zelda was ready to awaken the powers of Hylia within her when Ganon struck Hyrule in an unexpected place. When she was unable to harness her powers in time, she and Link were forced to flee…And so Breath of the Wild begins.

Tetra

In The Legend of Zelda series, Tetra is a feisty pirate girl who first meets Link in The Wind Waker. As a child, her mother gave her a charm and was ordered to protect it at all costs. This charm, in actuality, is a piece of the Triforce of Wisdom and is tied to her identity as Wind Waker’s incarnation of Princess Zelda. She’s notable for her swashbuckling attire and cheeky attitude, and only appears in the traditional Princess Zelda dress for a small time.

Saria

In the Nintendo 64 classic, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Saria is a close friend of Link and lives with him in the Kokiri Forest. After the death of the Deku Tree, Saria gives Link her prized possession – an ocarina – before sending him on his way. Later in the game, Saria is revealed to be the Sage of the Forest and helps Link on his quest to defeat Ganondorf. Her green hair is her most striking feature.

In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Link awakens from a deep sleep having lost all of his memory. A mysterious voice guides him as he explores the ruined Kingdom of Hyrule and embarks on a quest to defeat Calamity Ganon before he destroys the world.

Link

Link (リンク in Japanese) is the fearless fictional character of Nintendo’s epic game, The Legend of Zelda series. Link has been fighting his way through the lands of Hyrule and battling enemies with his trusted mystic Master Sword and Light Arrows. Since 1986 to the present date, Zelda is still going strong!
