Lettuce (Retasu) Midorikawa from Tokyo Mew Mew (2002)

Lettuce (voiced in Japanese by Kumi Sakuma and in English by Erica Shroeder) is one of the main characters of the anime/manga Tokyo Mew Mew (2002 anime).

She is the third person to join the Mew Mews and has the DNA of a finless porpoise. Before meeting the others, she was often only in the company of girls from her school that would bully her and make her run errands. After meeting Ichigo and the others, she comes more out of her shell.

Lettuce has green eyes and long bright green hair worn tied back in a long ponytail, and two white ribbon-like pieces sticking out of her bangs. The rest of her outfit is also green themed, with a swimsuit looking outfit with tails emulating tailfins, puffy green sleeve cuffs, a matching green and white choker and garter set, and green boots.

Meryl Stryfe from Trigun Stampede

Meryl Stryfe (voiced most recently by Sakura Andou and Sarah Roach) is a supporting character in the anime and manga series Trigun.  In the 2023 reboot Trigun Stampede, Meryl is a rookie reporter investigating Vash the Stampede alongside her seasoned partner Roberto De Niro.  In addition to an update to her vocation, Meryl’s wardrobe underwent an overhaul for the new series.  In Trigun Stampede, she wears a white blouse with blue frog button detailing, black tights, and blue shorts with a rolled hem.  Her accessories include gold earrings, a blue beret, black fingerless gloves, a black belt with gold buckle, a cream-colored jacket, and white high-top sneakers.  If you really want to get as close to her look from the show as possible, take a little light blue fabric paint to the buttons on a white blouse to make them pop.

Asa Mitaka from Chainsaw Man

Asa Mitaka is a character in the best selling manga and hit anime, Chainsaw Man. Illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto, the series was serialized in Shonen Jump for two years with new chapters bi-weekly. The current chapters focus on Asa, a female student who doubly hosts Yoru, aka the War Devil. Like most devils, Yoru seeks to kill Chainsaw Man, and forces Asa to seduce him. However, Asa is quiet, unsociable, and awkward. Asa/Yoru have the ability to turn anything into a weapon. If you want to dress as Asa, put the hair pigtails. If you want to dress as Yoru, wear the hair down and draw scars across your face.

Zakuro Fujiwara from Tokyo Mew Mew (2002)

Zakuro (voiced in Japanese by Junko Noda and in English by Mollie Weaver) is one of the main characters of the anime/manga Tokyo Mew Mew (2002 anime).

She is the fifth and final of the Mew Mews to join the main group (not counting the ones that come in later in follow-up volumes), and has the DNA of a grey wolf. It takes her a while to be open to join the team, as she is very fiercely independent and unsociable, due to past trauma. She’s got a lot of varied talents, many of which having to do with performing, such as dancing, singing, and modeling.

Zakuro has purpley-blue eyes and long, deep lavender colored hair, topped with grey wolf ears, which have an accompanying tail. She is the only one out of the girls that wears a two piece outfit for her Mew look, with her whole color scheme being a dark magenta/purple. She has a cropped tube top with puffed side sleeves, wrist cuffs, short shorts, a matching garter and collar set, and thigh high boots.

Pudding Fong from Tokyo Mew Mew (2002)

Pudding (voiced in Japanese by Hisayo Mochizuki and in English by Kether Donohue) is one of the main characters of the anime/manga Tokyo Mew Mew (2002 anime).

She is the fourth to join the Mew Mews and has the DNA of a golden lion tamarin. Pudding is a circus performer and highly experienced in martial arts, thanks to the tutelage of her father. Out of the girls, she is the one that most closely matches with the traits of her animal.

Pudding’s look is very yellow and brown themed, including her short fluffy blonde hair, brown eyes, and brown monkey ears/tail. She wears a yellow one piece jumpsuit with separated side cuffed sleeves, a matching set of a brown and yellow choker and garter, brown fingerless gloves, tied yellow leg pieces, and brown slip on shoes.

robert de niro from trigun stampede

Roberto De Niro from Trigun Stampede

Roberto De Niro (voiced by Kenji Matsuda and Ben Bryant) is the latest character addition to the Trigun franchise.  In the 2023 reboot Trigun Stampede, Robert is a seasoned reporter with a bit of a drinking problem.  He and his rookie partner Meryl Stryfe are dispatched to investigate and report on Vash the Stampede by the Bernardelli New Agency.  Robert appears far more disheveled than his partner, with brown hair that hangs in his face and a beige button-down that is often partially untucked.  The rest of his outfit includes a brown blazer, brown boots, black pants, and a black belt.  His mustache is darker than his beard or hair, and you can use a temporary root touch-up tool to achieve this look.  Don’t forget your favorite libation in a silver flask to complete the transformation.

Tadashi Kikuchi from Sk8 the Infinity

Tadashi (voiced in Japanese by Kensho Ono and in English by Brandon Johnson) is one of the semi-main characters in the Sk8 the Infinity anime.

He is the one that taught Ainosuke how to skate, and is the one that (by proxy) is in charge of all the background monitoring and coordination of the crew for the “S” meets. Despite being reprimanded and eventually prohibited from outright seeing him because of their mismatch in social stature, Tadashi remained a constant support pillar in his life, even to the point of becoming his secretary and most loyal companion.

Tadashi has professional looking semi-fluffy black-blue hair and green eyes. For the most part when we see him, he has a white button up, a lavender tie, a fitted black suit and slacks, and brown loafers. He has another look for when he’s at the “S” meets, which will be covered at a later date.

Arisa Uotani (Uo) from Fruits Basket

Uo (voiced in Japanese by Atsumi Tanezaki and in English by Elizabeth Maxwell) is one of the secondary characters in the anime/manga Fruits Basket.

She was formerly involved in gang activity in middle school, but ended up leaving her gang with Tohru‘s help, being saved by Tohru’s mom from being mortally wounded by the remaining members. Finding her own path, she ended up becoming fast best friends with Tohru, as well as Saki once she transferred to their class.

Uo has very long golden blonde hair that she generally wears over one eye, which are golden brown in color. Like her friends, she also wears the blue and white school uniform, but prefers to wear the top with the sleeves half rolled up, no tie or mid-piece, and with a maroon shirt underneath. She wears a much longer skirt than Tohru, reaching to nearly her ankles. She seems to have a few different types of shoes she wears, but the ones I went with were white slip-ons.

Hatori Sohma from Fruits Basket

Hatori (voiced in Japanese by Kazuyuki Okitsu and in English by Kent Williams) is one of the secondary main characters in the anime/manga Fruits Basket.

He’s part of the mabudachi trio along with Shigure and Ayame, having grown up together since they were kids, and is one of the older members of the family. Out of the cursed zodiac, he is the dragon. Hatori operates as the Sohma family’s personal doctor as it wouldn’t be safe for anyone outside of the family to treat the other members.

Hatori has short black side-parted hair and greyish purple eyes. He generally dresses for work, with a white button up tied with a navy blue tie, a black vest over top, a black belt, dark brown slacks, and black loafers. Sometimes he’ll wear a white labcoat over top of everything.

Agent Valentina Fontaine

Agent Valentina Allegra de Fontaine, also known as Contessa Fontaine, is an antagonist in the MCU. She is the Director of the CIA who seems to be assembling her own team, currently consisting of John Walker – formerly the new Captain America, now US Agent – and Yelena Belova. Her ex-husband is Everett Ross. When he opposed the US obtaining vibranium from Wakanda, she had him arrested for committing treason. Portrayed by Julia Louis-Dreyfus, she appears in smaller roles for Black Widow, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and Falcon and the Winter Soldier. She will make a full debut in Thunderbolts.  A black trenchcoat and leather gloves give her sleek style a classic villainous edge.
