Deadbra Ann from Living Dead Dolls
Deadbra Ann is from the second series of Living Dead Dolls, and has several motif references both in appearance and in her backstory from various Stephen King novels — most notably prom queen Carrie. She is also the first doll in the series to have a face wound.
She has extremely vibrant blue eyes, done up with prom makeup and purple bruising, her mouth is ripped to the side, extending up to the rest of her face, and her hair is a mixed color copper bob. Ann wears a red frilly, lacy, sleeveless prom dress, her nails are painted black, and she has a white silk sash that says Danse Macabre. Her accessories are a white rose bouquet splattered with blood, and an ornate gold crown.
Penny Polendina (Formal Dress) from RWBY
Penny (voiced in English by Taylor McNee and in Japanese by Megumi Han) is an important secondary character in the animated series, RWBY.
This is the formal dress outfit that she wears in the episode ‘Dance Dance Infiltration’ in Volume 2.
Penny has short, bobbed, orange hair, with a large pink hairbow clip at the back, and bright green eyes. We only see a very brief shot of her in this dress, and it’s a bit of a tricky color to match, so I’d recommend very carefully dyeing this white one into a close enough pale green shade. The shoes are a similar color of green, but the chosen ones should match just fine. The dress is finished off with a thin, black band-belt.
Sheena from Living Dead Dolls
Sheena is part of the third series of Living Dead Dolls, and is based of the song ‘Sheena is a Punk Rocker’, made by the Ramones and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. She’s also the first doll in the series to have any piercings.
Her hair is dark and closely shaved at the back, with vibrant red middle parted bangs, and her eyes are red sclera with a bright yellow center. She has thick eye makeup, black lipstick, and a silver lip ring, with a matching silver ballchain necklace. The rest of her outfit consists of a black leather jacket over a white shirt, a red leather skirt, black ripped fishnets, black chunky boots with red laces, and she comes with an accessory of a bloody nailbat.
Bride of Valentine from Living Dead Dolls
The Bride is part of the third series of Living Dead Dolls, and is inspired off of the tale of Frankenstein.
She has long black hair with white streaks striped throughout it, mottled shadows around her mismatched blue and black eyes, red lipstick, and facial wounds. Her dress is an off-white strappy dress with blood stains down the torso, her arms and legs are wrapped with bandages, and she wears chunky black lace-up boots. The accessory that she comes with is a realistic looking bloody human heart.
Wigfrid from Don’t Starve Together
Wigfrid is one of the playable characters in the survival horror game series, Don’t Starve.
She’s a former stage star, fully embodying the roll of the Valkyrie character she played to the point where it became the only thing she could do, leaving her other performances imperfect.
Wigfrid is usually seen wearing her stage costume, with her bright red hair tied back into two thick braids, white eyes like a large amount of other DST characters, and a gold toned valkyrie costume, with tan sandals/wraps, metallic bracers, and a viking-esque had with a unicorn at the top.
Princess Pluto from Sailor Moon
In Sailor Moon, Pluto has the same lengthy dark green hair as usual, worn partially up in a small bun at the top of her head, with the main differences to this look being the Pluto symbol on her forehead, a long black ribbon around her neck, and a black and gold teardrop necklace.
Her shiny black princess dress is a little bit more elaborate on the straps than the other outer scouts, with her having two thin straps on each side, both of which are decorated with gold fastenings. The bodice of her dress comes up in a point in the middle of her chest, and the rest of it falls in a similar way to Uranus and Saturn’s, with the sides of the skirt cut away to reveal a lighter underskirt layer. She is also one of the two that wear gloves in this form, with hers being a pair of black opera styled ones.
Lizzie Borden from Living Dead Dolls
Lizzie is from the second series of Living Dead Dolls, and is the second doll to be based off of a real person (ie, Lizzie Borden). The doll can be found at the Borden house, shown on display.
She has her copper hair worn up in a tight, high bun, with loose curls coming down on to her forehead, black sclera eyes with vibrant bluey-white in the center, and very dark red lipstick. Her dress is older-styled, with large black puff sleeves, a very long skirt, and a red ribbon tied loosely at her neck. As with the known rhyme, she carries a bloodied axe (though Lizzie was found innocent).
Posey from Living Dead Dolls
Posey is from the first run of Living Dead Dolls, and is labeled as a ‘buried alive’ character.
She has extremely long golden-auburn hair worn in a mid-part, fully whited out eyes with blue ringing them and matching lipstick, and a wound over her eye. Her outfit is similar to an old styled nightgown, but weathered in a way that looks like it was saturated in mud. Her doll accessory is a single white rose.
Riza Hawkeye from Fullmetal Alchemist
Riza (voiced in Japanese by Michiko Neya [2003] and Fumiko Orikasa [2009], and in English by Colleen Clinkenbeard [Funimation Dub] and Muriel Hofmann [Animax Dub]) is a major character in the Fullmetal Alchemist series.
She is Roy Mustang’s closest confidant and personal bodyguard, as well as the military’s best sharpshooter specialist, in addition to her rank as Lieutenant. She also has a pet dog named Black Hayate that she acquired after he was brought in by Fuery, being the only one suitable in the crew for taking care of him.
Riza has long, golden hair, usually worn up in the back with a flat brown clip, and her eyes are a deep chocolatey brown. She also wears silver stud earrings. The main outfit we see her in is a rank-specific Amestrian military uniform, all in that shade of medium blue, with silver detailing everywhere. She also wears black, shin-high boots, and is generally seen carrying some sort of firearm (she has a few, up to you which one would work best for your cosplay purposes, please keep in mind that cons generally have peace-bonding restrictions on prop guns!).
Homura Akemi from Puella Magi Madoka Magica
Homura (voiced in Japanese by Chiwa Saito and in English by Cristina Valenzuela) is one of the major main characters in the anime/manga series Puella Magi Madoka Magica.
She is a very diversely written character, treading a fine line between being the protagonist and technically being the villain, due to the constant wearing down on her mental state from every new time iteration she goes through to keep Madoka safe. For this one, I’ve chosen to do her main magical girl outfit.
Homura has very long black hair, that she wears a dark headband on, and greyish purple eyes. Her magical girl outfit consists of a white, grey, and black top with a purple ribbon on the neck, a grey and white skirt, and black tights with purple diamonds down the sides, which lead into a sort of high-heel end (I included some flats if you want it to blend in better with the tights, but high heels of choice are also an option). She also carries her reality warping shield while in combat.
