Mickey Knox from Natural Born Killers

Mickey Knox (Woody Harrelson) is the sexy serial killer alongside his mate Mallory (Juliette Lewis) in Oliver Stone’s 1994 cult classic flick: Natural Born Killers. He’s an efficient killer who shows zero empathy for his victims.

D’arcy Wretzky

D’arcy Wretzky is the bass player of the alternative band The Smashing Pumpkins. Next to Courtney Love, she was a inspiration for alternative teenage girls of the 1990’s. If you want to pull off a grungy chic look, you’ve come to the right place.

There’s two outfits of hers that really stand out, worn during Lollapalooza in the ’90s. Fashion pieces that are certainly mainstream again: The first, a silver sleek silk camisole, a sheer black cardigan, some mom jeans, black sunglasses, and black boots. The second, the infamous orange & red striped long-sleeved shirt, black leggings, and another pair of black shades.

Dr Pamela Isley

Dr. Pamela Isley

In 1997 when Batman & Robin was released, the critics bashed the hell out of it. It is one of the most disappointing films in history by statistics. And personally, one of the only things I adore about the movie in general is Uma Thurman as Poison Ivy (knowing how much I looked up to the character in general during my childhood).

Aside from Poison Ivy’s main costume, I decided to take a turn towards her laboratory uniform as Dr. Pamela Lillian Isley since I find it sexier, and less cheesy. It’s one tutorial that’s easy to start, and perfect for a last minute idea. You could literally go to Wal-Mart and buy these items for less than $20 (then proceed to distress the clothing if I may so add). The items needed are: a tank top, a beige skirt, and some red-hot long hair. If you want it authentically made, vines and chemistry instruments would really pull the whole look together.

Alice Wakefield from Lost Highway

Alice Wakefield from Lost Highway

In Lost Highway, Alice Wakefield (Patricia Arquette) is the seductress who crosses Fred’s path while he is in the life of Pete, convincing him to murder. He soon finds out how power-hungry she is, and knowing he could never have her because she was simply an illusion. She is the other half to Renee Madison.

Alice’s wardrobe is beyond beautiful, elegant and full of bright colors while remaining to look seductive. Her most prominent fashion pieces are her white satin mini-dress, light brown platforms, gold clutch and watch set she appears in when she asks Pete to meet up with her after encountering her earlier in a black mini-dress similar to the one she is last seen wearing, along with matching bra and panties, and topped with a cheetah fur coat.

Aside from the clothes, she can be spotted with a curly/banged platinum blonde bob, while sporting some bright primary colored lips along with metallic colored eyeshadow/nail polish.

Renee Madison from Lost Highway

Renee Madison from Lost Highway

Renee Madison (Patricia Arquette) is the wife of Fred Madison in the 1997 David Lynch film Lost Highway. Movie buffs will remember her character as the sexually unsatisfied wife who becomes tragically murdered by her husband after he assumes she has been cheating on him with another man.

Renee’s style is very elegant, symbolized in dark colors, in contrast to her alter ego Alice Wakefield who is often found in lighter colors. The outfit Renee is first seen in is her red satin dress covered by a black silk robe. Other than her outfit, she can be seen with dark brown/reddish long hair with front bangs, and some red lipstick and black nails to match.

Joan of Arc from Clone High

Joan of Arc from Clone High

Joan of Arc is the teenage literal clone of the original Joan of Ark in the MTV animated series, Clone High. It was a early 2000’s series that barely lived a single season. Surprisingly, it has a cult following and is one of MTV’s most popular animated shows. Joan represents the goth girl found at any given high school, dressed specifically in mall goth attire.

To pull off this look, you’ll need a collection of items that look straight out of the early 2000’s, such as a simple black choker, a black long sleeved shirt, some dark green cargo pants, black combat boots, and of course a simple magenta bob.

Harleen Quinzel

Harleen Quinzel

Harley Quinn was introduced as Harleen Quinzel, a psychiatrist in 1992’s Batman: The Animated Series. Since 1999, she has become a DC favorite. If you’re tired of the usual Harley cosplay tutorials such as the jester suit, Arkham series, or the Suicide Squad film, look no further.

Aside from most of the screen time Harley spent in the two ’90s Batman series’ parading around in her jester suit, she was known to dress quite feminine and formal. One of the looks aside from the usual was her outfit worn while shopping out on the town or when out with Ivy.

To pull off the simple look, you’ll need: a white collared blouse or button down shirt (tied into a sexy knot), bright red jean shorts with a simple black belt, white lace-up go-go rollerblade boots, and hair pulled into high pigtails. If you want to add accessories, get a white leather purse and some signature red lipstick.

Winter Steele

Winter Steele

Since platinum blonde hair and the 1980s are trending at the moment, I thought I’d take a classic turn. Winter Steele is a puppet character from MTV’s animated series Liquid Television. Her style is very punk, symbolizing Nancy Spungen or from this generation, a lookalike of Lorraine Broughton from Atomic Blonde.

It’s a fairly easy look to pull off. Many females from the ’80s and ’90s would be most familiar with such. You’ll need platinum blonde/white long hair, a black choker with silver medallion, a black biker jacket (black vintage military cap is optional), a dog tag necklace, black pair of sunglasses, leather black gloves, black leather boots with pearls wrapped around the ankles, topped off with a simple black bralette with pants.

Nikki Wong from 6teen

Nikki Wong

Nikki Wong is a early 2000’s portrayal of an alternative chick, giving off goth vibes while in ska punk fashion. Her feminine role in the animated show 6teen touched non-conforming girls and feminists alike. To achieve her look, you’ll need a number of items that scream California or the beach. The outfit she wears throughout the whole series are: a pair of grey cargos (brown belt at the waist), a basic white tank top, a black choker with a triangular gemstone attached, some silver piercings, a purple bob, and some makeup to match.

Jeryline

Jeryline

Jeryline is one of the many unfortunate souls in the film Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight. I had just watched this movie days ago and love her character due to how relatable and inspiring she is. This film deserves more attention if it hasn’t gotten any already!

Jeryline’s outfit is straight out of the ’90s with it’s matching fabric and grungy attitude sported as an alternative streetwear image. The pieces needed to pull off her look are: a blue denim shirt (with the sleeves cut off), a white cropped shirt, a pair of ratty denim blue jeans, a bleached casual buzzcut, abandana, piercings for both ears, some black working gloves, and a pair of chukka ankle boots.
