Joker (2019)
In the 2019 thriller Joker, Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) is a mentally ill, impoverished stand-up comic. Discarded and abused by society, he turns to a life of crime and chaos, rising to become a frightening legend of Gotham City. Joaquin Phoenix is the fifth actor to portray the legendary Batman villain Joker in a film, and the first in a stand-alone feature.
Riddler from Gotham
In Gotham, Edward Nygma (Cory Michael Smith) breaks out of Arkham Asylum and takes the classic form of The Riddler, teaming up with the Penguin to start some trouble.
Penguin from Gotham
In the Gotham finale, Oswald Cobblepot (Robin Lord Taylor) comes out as Batman’s arch-nemesis the Penguin, in his classic garb from the top hat and monocle to the tuxedo jacket.
Dee Dee Twins
The Dee Dee Twins, Delia and Deidre Dennis, are the granddaughters of Harley Quinn, who follow in her footsteps as the hench-wenches of the Joker. As members of the Jokerz gang, they face off against their nemesis Batman.
Negative Man from Doom Patrol
Negative Man (Matt Bomer / Matthew Zuk), real name Larry Trainor, is a member of the Doom Patrol. He was originally an Air Force pilot who crashed his experimental aircraft into negative energy, and due to his burns and radioactivity, must now be wrapped in bandages from head to toe.
Gwenpool
Gwenpool, full name Gwendolyn Poole, is Marvel’s amalgam of Gwen Stacy and Deadpool. She made her debut on a variant cover of Deadpool’s Secret Secret Wars #2 and has since starred in her own series, The Unbelievable Gwenpool.
Crazy Jane from Doom Patrol
In Doom Patrol, Crazy Jane (Diane Guerrero), real name Kay Challis, has multiple personalities, each of which has a different set of super powers. Her 64 personalities include Hammerhead, Pretty Polly, Penny Farthing, Black Annis, and of course Jane Morris.
The Handler from The Umbrella Academy
In The Umbrella Academy, The Handler (Kate Walsh) is the head of the Commission and Five’s former boss, who works to assassinate anyone who might disrupt the timeline. After chasing Number Five down, she offers him a job with the Commission due to his time-traveling abilities and “stick-to-itiveness”.
Spider-Man Stealth Suit
In the MCU film Spider-Man: Far From Home, Spider-Man (Tom Holland) debuts a new suit known as the Stealth Suit. It is also referred to as the “Night Monkey” suit after a bad lie by Peter Parker to cover up his identity. This suit is meant to disguise Spider-Man being in Europe at the same time as Peter.
