Jason Voorhees from Freddy vs. Jason
Jason Voorhees in Freddy vs. Jason (played by Ken Kirzinger) is one of the two titular characters. Just don’t expect a lot of lines out of him. He’s as silent as Freddy Krueger is chatty, after all. And once Freddy brings him back from the dead and sets him loose on Springwood. Of course the two can’t work together for long before they’re at war with one another leaving the original victims caught in the middle.
The important thing to know about Jason’s look is that you’re going to have to rip, stain, and distress anything he wears. This is why a more generic work jacket is listed above instead of what was used in production which is very likely a Carhartt. Under the jacket Jason wears a brown button up, torn at the collar, and a black t-shirt. He also wears black pants and boots.
Jason has been dead a while which is a hard look to recreate without some serious prosthetics. You can recreate the look, though, with black gloves and a black hood mask as well as black SFX paint to streak your neck with and use behind the eye holes of his trademark mask.
After that all you need are his hockey mask and his machete and you’re just as terrifying as Jason himself!
Wyborn from Coraline
Wyborn “Wybie” Lovat is a geeky, charmingly peculiar, awkward kid. He lives with his grandmother, who owns the Pink Palace Apartments. Wybie knows something unusual is going on at the apartment. His family holds the secret to the strange events at the building. Wybie helps solve his family mystery in Coraline.
Red Skull
Red Skull (portrayed by Hugo Weaving in the MCU) was the first recipient of the serum that eventually turned Steve Rogers into Captain America. It – for better or worse – did not have the same effect on Johann Schmidt. Instead of great strength and agility he was reduced to a blood-red near-skeleton ever in search of power he cannot hope to control.
Cosplaying as the Red Skull takes a bit of work because getting the skeleton-like look is not easy. Start with a bald cap and some red SFX paint. Red gloves will cover your hands and a little bit of standard makeup can finish the look. Then add on a long black military-style coat, bloused pants, and black boots. Finally around out the costume with a Hydra belt buckle, a World War Two pistol, and a tesseract!
Dracula from Bram Stoker’s Dracula (1992)
Dracula is the main antagonist in Bram Stoker’s Dracula. Filmed in 1992, the movie features a star studded cast: Keanu Reeves as Jonathan Harker, Winona Ryder as Mina Harker, Anthony Hopkins as Professor Van Helsing, and Gary Oldman as Dracula himself. As the story always goes, Dracula is the enigmatic owner of a castle in Transylvania, who is really a vampire. He invites Jonathan to arrange his real estate acquisitions in London. Despite the mention of the author in the movie title, director and producer Francis Ford Coppola doesn’t stick exactly to the book. For instance, he gives backstory to Dracula, and makes Mina a reincarnation of his wife.
Joan Lambert from Alien
Joan Lambert (played by Veronica Cartwright) is the navigator aboard the USCSS Nostromo. Lambert suffered from hyperactivity and nervousness which is suspected to be caused by trauma she faced as trans woman. Her nervousness caused her to freeze up when faced with the Xenomorph while searching for coolant. In the end, she was too afraid to take the risk and save herself.
Elle Driver from Kill Bill
Elle Driver played by Daryl Hannah is a member of The Deadly Viper Assassination Squad. Her code name is California Mountain Snake. Elle was put in the position Beatrix Kiddo had before her attempted assassination by Bill. It is clear that she and Bill had some sort of romantic relation after Kiddo’s attempted assassination. Her most notable characteristic is her eyepatch which she wears due to having her eye ripped out by Pei Mei for calling him a ‘miserable old fool’ while training. Elle can be described as short-tempered rude and arrogant. Her selfish behavior eventually causes her demise.
