While learning to cycle with his grandparents, Ryan fell off and threw the bicycle into the woods out of anger. Upon retrieving it from a tree, he discovered a glowing symbol and summoned a strange pod. He called the police and reunited with Yasmin, now as a police officer. His grandmother, Grace, called him for help on the train. When she dies, Ryan battles his dyspraxia in her honor. Despite his impulsive behavior, Ryan learned to obey the Doctor’s rules and understand her way of thinking.

Dream!Sans from Undertale

Dream!Sans from Undertale

Born from the Tree of Feelings, Dream!Sans contains all the happy energy in the universe. Every monster, human, plant, and animal’s happy feelings went into Dream’s creation. Twin to Nightmare!Sans, Dream is the peacekeeper, the light bringer. Created by Jokublog as part of an AU (alternate universe) to the game Undertale, Dream has since grown into a beloved character nearly as widespread as the original Sans himself.

Because Sans is a skeleton you have a few cosplay options. One is to use a bald cap and body makeup to achieve a similar look. A second option is making a Dream mask using a tutorial like this one. The best option is whichever you are most comfortable with.

Once you’ve chose the option you like best you will need the rest of the costume. A gold circlet is the main accessory, followed by a yellow cape and star pin. Dream wears a very simple circlet which isn’t easy to find. A simple gold crown comes close or you can make your own circlet using heavy gauge gold wire.

Finish the look with a blue tunic, yellow fingerless gloves, blue pants, a gold belt, and yellow boots.

wesley dodds from dc comics

Wesley Dodds (Sandman)

Wesley Dodds is the real name of DC superhero Sandman.  Originally introduced in 1939, Dodds uses a gun that administers a powerful sleeping gas to subdue criminals.  He then sprinkles them with sand and leaves them for the police.  In his original (and most iconic) iteration, Dodds wore a green business suit, brown fedora, and purple cape.  Sandman’s look has been updated on several occasions, including a version with a more menacing-looking gas mask and a yellow suit from the mid-eighties until the early 2010s.  No matter which version of Dodds you choose to recreate, you’ll need a brown fedora and a futuristic-looking gun with a wide, round barrel to help you put crime to sleep.

Christine “Lady Bird” McPherson from Lady Bird

Christine “Lady Bird” McPherson is the rebellious teenage protagonist at the heart of Greta Gerwig’s semi-autobiographical film Lady Bird.  Lady Bird dreams of a big life in a big city on the East Coast, but her family struggles financially, which often causes tension as Lady Bird’s mother thinks she is not grateful enough for what she has.  Lady Bird’s clothing is a mix of simple pieces and vintage thrift store finds, giving her a cool ’90s vibe even as a high school student in the early 2000s.

Burger King Mascot

Burger King

“The King” or the “creepy” King was the Burger King mascot from 2004-2011. While some people loved the silliness of the ad, a lot of people found the updated mascot creepy. Whether you were a fan or found him unsettling, dressing up as The King is a great royal cosplay!

It’s almost impossible to find the actual prop head that the company used but there are masks that give you the same look. Once you have the mask, the rest of the costume is a fairly standard king costume. A red velvet coat trimmed in white fur, a gold tunic over a white high-collared shirt, and red trim at the bottom added with fabric paint. Finish off the look with white compression pants, covers for your shoes to make them into tall back boots, and a heavy gold chain. It’s good to be the King!

We first met Monica as a child in Captain Marvel as the daughter of former pilot Maria Rambeau and goddaughter of Carol Danvers. As an adult, she joined S.W.O.R.D., an extra-governmental intelligence agency founded by her mother. In WandaVision, we discover Monica was one of many who disappeared in the snap. She reappears in the hospital, as she accompanied Maria to her cancer treatments, but sadly discovers she died during her absence. Returning to work at S.W.O.R.D, Agents Heyward and Jimmy Woo call upon Monica to investigate the missing town of Westview, New Jersey. When Monica gets too close to the radioactive forcefield surrounding the town, she gets pulled into the sitcom, where she stars as Geraldine. This is her outfit from the third episode set in the 1970s. She helps Wanda deliver her twins, but when she mentions Ultron, she blows her cover. Wanda takes a closer look at her necklace, and recognizing the pendant with S.W.O.R.D’s insignia, she uses her powers to expel Geraldine from the town. Now Monica again, she uses her experience to help Jimmy and Darcy find out more about the hex.

His latest case is the missing town of Westview, New Jersey, which he is currently investigating with Monica Rambeau and Dr. Darcy Lewis, as well as the rest of S.W.O.R.D. Rumor has it that Disney+ is eyeing Agent Woo for a series of his own.

adult marco diaz from svfoe

Adult Marco Diaz from Star vs. the Forces of Evil

Marco Diaz (voiced by Adam McArthur) is a main character on the Disney Channel TV show Star vs. the Forces of Evil. As Star Butterfly’s best friend on Earth, Marco plays an important role in the series.  In the episode “Running with Scissors,” Marco appears as a 30-year-old version of himself in another dimension, rather than his usual 14-year-old appearance.  As an adult, Marco is very muscular and sports a few ear piercings as well as a tattoo of intergalactic scissors on his left bicep.  He still wears his trusty read sweatshirt, although it is now tattered and resembles more of a cape.  To make yourself look like Adult Marco, you’ll want to be liberal with the tattering and tearing of your cape and pants, as well as willing to bear a bit of skin since he wears his motorcycle jacket open with the sleeves rolled up.  If you’re not particularly attached the jacket, cutting the sleeves will make it much easier to achieve Marco’s look from the cartoon.
