The Karate Kid

In The Karate Kid, Daniel (Ralph Macchio) learns how to defend himself from bully, Johnny Lawrence, after he is taken under Mr. Miyagi’s wing. Daniel’s a slow learner however, and doesn’t understand that he can’t master moves like The Crane until he first masters skills like wax on and wax off.

Orko

Orko is a Trollan who’s accidentally transported by a cosmic storm to Eternia, where he saves a young He-Man. Despite having magical powers they are usually unpredictable and backfire on him. Though he keeps his face hidden, this doesn’t seem to hinder him from finding a girlfriend.

Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter

In Kumiko, The Treasure Hunter, Kumiko (Rinko Kikuchi) lives a lonely and depressing life until she discovers an old VHS of Fargo. Believing the movie to be real, she’s convinced that it depicts buried treasure. She embarks on journey that takes her from Tokyo to the middle of no where Minnesota. Good thing she prepared for the cold conditions with her homemade blanket poncho.

No-Face

In Spirited Away, No-Face is a lonely spirit who follows Chihiro Ogino after he develops an interest in her sincerity. He soon becomes obsessed with her though and tries to win her affections with gold and stolen tokens for the bathhouse.

Wolf Carol

As The Walking Dead group settles into suburban life in picturesque Alexandria, Carol (Melissa McBride) pretends she’s Suzy Homemaker to trick the others into letting their guards down around her. When the Wolves attack Alexandria however, Carol’s survival instincts kick in as she activates ninja mode, ruthlessly killing the Wolves after disguising herself as one.

T-X

Bilbo Baggins

In The Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins (Martin Freeman) is a hobbit who’s settled down comfortably in Hobbiton. That is until the wizard Gandalf and 13 Dwarves recruit the unlikely hero to help them on their quest to reclaim the Lonely Mountain from the dragon Smaug.

Wirt

In Over the Garden Wall, Wirt (voiced by Elijah Wood), along with his half-brother Greg, must find their way out of a strange forest called the Unknown. His tall red gnome hat might make him look playful, but he’s actually serious and worry-prone, unlike his sibling.
