Cosmo from Cucumber Quest
Cosmo is a talented inventor from the Space Kingdom in the webcomic Cucumber Quest. They help Cucumber and Almond occasionally throughout their quest. Cosmo has black hair and grey skin with pink freckles, which you can recreate with body paint and an eyeliner pen. They also have a pair of grey rabbit-like ears. Their clothes consist of a light purple shirt and black leggings under dark blue star-and-planet-themed shortalls. You can add the cosmic design with some fabric paint yourself. Accessorize with pink gloves, blue polarized glasses, and some star pins; a black one at your throat and two silver ones on the straps of your overall shorts.
Joan (Salma Hayek) from Black Mirror
Joan, played by Salma Hayek is from the episode Joan Is Awful from the Netflix series Black Mirror (Season 6). Joan Is Awful is about an average woman named Joan who discovers her life has been adapted into a television series on a popular streaming service for everyone to watch. The actress who plays her is Salma Hayek.
Salma-Joan wears bold costumes like a stunning, over-the-top yellow jumpsuit with a green purse. Another features Joan’s distinct hairstyle, a brunette wig with blonde front pieces. She wears this with a green blazer and white shirt.
Penelope Blossom from Riverdale
Penelope Blossom (played by Nathalie Boltt) is a recurring character in the CW series Riverdale. The mother of Cheryl and Jason, Penelope is manipulative and cunning, with a penchant for poisons. She has copper hair and favors the color red in nearly all of her ensembles. She wears a glove on her left hand to cover scars after receiving third-degree burns. When crafting your costume, focus on chic silhouettes, carefully styled hair, and crimson pieces that really pop.
Webber from Don’t Starve Together
Webber is one of the playable characters of the survival horror game series, Don’t Starve.
He is a young boy that got merged with a spider during a lab experiment gone wrong, fled from his home, and now lives in the Constant with the other survivors.
Webber, due to being partially spider, has course fuzzy black hairs all over his body, spider legs sticking out of his head, an assortment of white eyes, and long yellowy fangs.
Sydney from The Bear
Sydney is from the series The Bear and is played by Ayo Edebiri. The Bear is about a chef named Carmen, who has quit fine dining and returns to Chicago to try and fix the run down sandwich shop, previously owned by his brother who passed. Sydney is the sous chef that joins this restaurant in season one, and we watch her help Carmen restore it.
Sydney wears the same uniform most of the kitchen staff does, which is a deep blue denim apron, a white shirt, black pants and non-slip shoes. She also wears various bandanas of different colors and patterns which makes her stand out amongst the rest of the staff. Add two kitchen towels at your sides and you’ll look just like this sous chef!
The Pirate Captain from The Pirates! Band of Misfits
The Pirate Captain (voiced by Hugh Grant) is the main character in the stop-motion animation feature film The Pirates! Band of Misfits. The Captain leads his crew on an adventure to try and steal enough gold to win the Pirate of the Year award, but is plagued by bad luck as they strike ships without the bounty they seek, eventually coming in contact with Charles Darwin on the HMS Beagle. The Pirate Captain has a bushy red beard and wears a long red coat with gold details. His shirt and sash are different shades of yellow, while his pants are tan and his boots brown. He also carries a sword.
(Keigo Takami) Hawks from My Hero Academia
Hawks (voiced in Japanese by Yuichi Nakamura and in English by Zeno Robinson) is one of the main pro heroes in the anime/manga My Hero Academia.
He is currently the No.2 Pro Hero, and has a variety of ties to different groups, both current and former. His Quirk incorporates his wings, allowing him to fly and control individual feathers for attacks.
Hawks has golden messily spiked hair, and golden-brown eyes that he wears yellow goggles over, in tandem with ear protectors. His outfit is built for flight, streamlined for the black and gold underlayer, with bulky and warm tan outer layers. He wears a thick pair of black gloves, black socks, and black boots, and has a large set of red wings coming from his back.
Brad Armstrong from LISA: THE PAINFUL
Brad Armstrong is the broody protagonist of the RPG game LISA: THE PAINFUL. Brad is a tormented character trying to do his best to protect Buddy from the Rando Army. He is also addicted to the drug Joy, which is a blue pill. To recreate his look from the game, you’ll need a balding head, a black beard, and a scar over your right eye. Brad wears a brown poncho, dark pants and shoes, and has brown cuffs on his wrists. To mimic Joy, you can use blue candy.
Shino Aburame from Naruto
Shino Aburame (voiced by Shinji Kawada and Darek Stephen Prince) is a character from the anime and manga series Naruto. He is a member of Team 8, under Kurenai Yuhi, alongside Hinata Hyuga and Kiba Inuzuka. He can control bugs that live inside his body as part of his clan’s special technique. Members of the Aburame clan are known for wearing dark glasses that obscure their eyes, and Shino is no exception. In the original series, he also wears brown pants and a grey-green jacket with a high collar that covers his mouth. When creating your costume, try to find a jacket with a high-stand collar. In the later episodes of Shippuden, Shino wears a green hooded jacket with a black shirt beneath instead having the collar that covers the lower portion of his face. A cowl neck zip-up can serve this purpose well. During the Fourth Shinobi War, he also wears a Konoha standard-issue flak vest. No matter which version you choose, don’t forget your forehead protector, kunai pouch, sandals, and round sunglasses.
J. Robert Oppenheimer from Oppenheimer
J. Robert Oppenheimer (played by Cillian Murphy) is the titular protagonist at the heart of Christopher Nolan’s film Oppenheimer. The primary physicist responsible for the creation of the atomic bomb, Oppenheimer’s life included no shortage of drama including an affair with Jean Tatlock during his marriage to Kitty, and many inquiries into his political affiliations and ideologies. The Manhattan Project of which Oppenheimer was a part took place in the 1940s, so your costume should evoke a vintage silhouette as much as possible. Oppenheimer wears several different suits throughout the movie, often favoring grey and brown shades. He also owns a rather unique belt buckle that is silver with turquoise. To recreate his look from the film, choose a brown or tan suit, with a matching tie, shoes, and flat-brimmed hat. Add a belt with a fancy buckle, a pipe, and a wedding ring. Lastly, you can recreate his round identification badge by writing “K-6” on a plain white button.
