Scott Shelby (voiced by Sam Douglas) is one of the four playable characters in Heavy Rain alongside Ethan Mars, Norman Jayden, and Madison Paige.  A private investigator, Scott has a tragic past that has a vast impact on the overall story.  Scott first reaches out to Lauren Winters as part of his investigation into the Origami Killer after being hired by families of the serial murderer's victims.  Scott is a retired police officer and former Marine, and his style is closely associated with traditional P.I.-attire.  He generally wears loose-fitting dress shirts and ties, but his most memorable piece of clothing is his long tan trench coat.
