Carbon Costume

Nicole Kidman’s AMC ad has quickly become an internet sensation and meme, for what reason? Simply because we love her. There have been incredible re-creations of her costume from the ad going viral on platforms like Tik Tok from conventions and even just a trip to the movies. This would be a hilarious costume for any movie-lover.

To create this costume, take a gray two-piece suit, preferably with the blazer being double breasted and add rhinestoned stripes or trim in vertical stripes on both the pants and the blazer if you’re a crafty person. If you have similar hair, wear a simple updo or you can style a wig the same way. Add a pair of heels and even a tin of popcorn to complete the look.

Jessica Riley (voiced by Meaghan Martin) is one of the eight playable characters in the horror video game Until Dawn.  Jess dreams of becoming a model and is Mike‘s girlfriend.  She wears her blonde hair in dutch braids, which you can replicate with a wig.  Jess’s outfit while outside consists of white boots, dark blue jeans, and a light blue jacket with a fur hood.  She wears a purple top and a white v-neck t-shirt beneath.

In Princess Peach: Showtime!, Detective Peach is one of the transformations that Princess Peach can take, granting her new abilities. In a twist, Peach is no longer the damsel-in-distress, but the hero squaring off against the evil Grape and the Sour Bunch.

In the video game The Quarry, Emma Mountebank is one of nine camp counselors at Hackett’s Quarry summer camp.  She is one of the playable characters of the game.  She had a summer fling with Jason and is best friends with Abigail.  Emma has blonde shoulder-length hair she styles with curtain bangs and pulls into a ponytail.  Her outfit consists of black skinny jeans, white sneakers, and a green mock turtleneck crop top.  She wears a chain link lock necklace.

Suki (voiced by Erin Agostino) is a supporting character in the Canadian cartoon series ToonMarty.  Suki has long blue hair with cat ears and loves to eat candy, which often leads to her being rather hyper.  She is Marty‘s love interest in the show.  To create your costume, you’ll want to tap into your inner anime character.  Start with long white socks and gloves, over which you’ll wear a light blue blouse and a bright pink skirt.  Next, you’ll need a pink necktie, a pink belt with a heart-shaped buckle, and light blue shoes.  Accessorize a blue wig with clip-in ears and white flower hair clips to complete the look.

Argylle is a new spy movie by Matthew Vaughn and follows Elly Conway, an author who’s novels begin to mirror the actions of a real spy organization, and she has to try and get ahead to stop it. Lagrange is a character played by Dua Lipa, who isn’t in the film long but makes an impression her with glittery gold dress.

To dress like Lagrange, wear a satin or glittery maxi gold formal dress with a draped or square front top and spaghetti straps. Pair this with matching gold strappy heels, a gold necklace with a diamond shaped pendant, and a smokey eyeshadow palette.

Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson) is a character in Doctor Who. As a baby, she was abandoned by a cloaked figure outside the church on Ruby Road (hence her name). No information is known about her birth parents. Now nineteen, she lives with Carla and Cherry Sunday, her foster mother and grandmother. As Christmas approaches, Ruby starts experiencing one too many instances of bad luck. When her new adoptive baby sister, Lulubelle, goes missing, it’s up to her and the Fifteenth Doctor to save the day from the goblins.

Mina (voiced in Japanese by Eri Kitamura and in English by Caitlin Glass) is one of the semi-main characters in the anime/manga series My Hero Academia.

She is a student in class 1-A at U.A., with Izuku and the others, and was in the same school as Eijiro Kirishima when they were in Middle School. Her chosen hero name, after an in-universe copyright consideration change, was decided to be Pinky. Her Quirk is acid-based, with various forms being used in combat, such as bullets and gel. During the school festival, she teaches the rest of the class how to dance for their band performance.

Mina is entirely pink, including her extremely fluffy short hair, and she has small light yellow horns sticking out of the top of her head. Her eyes are black sclera with orange in the center. She wears the standard U.A girls uniform while not in casual wear or her hero outfit, and it consists of a white button up shirt, a red tie with accompanying gold tie pin, the grey and dark teal school blazer, and a matching dark teal skirt. She wears the same brown loafers as the other girls, but has black knee high socks on her own choice.
