Oono from Hi Score Girl
Oono Akira is a girl who doesn’t speak much. Despite not speaking much, she has very lively facial expressions. Oono does well in her studies and hobbies, especially gaming. She can be aggressive at times, but it’s mostly towards Haruo. Funnily, Haruo is someone who is good at reading Oono’s expressions, so they are friends. Oono and Haruo geek over games in Hi Score Girl.
Romano from Hetalia
Lovino Vargas, also known as South Italy or Romano, is a side character in Hetalia: Axis Powers. In contrast to his younger brother, Feliciano, he is rude and unaffectionate. But behind his tough act, he’s just as clumsy and cowardly. He has assimilated Spain’s culture because Spain raised him. Unlike Feliciano, he hates Germany. Attach the the pipe cleaner onto the wig and bend it to make Romano’s upwards curl.
Haru from Sing “Yesterday” for Me
Haru Nonaka is a high school drop out with a pet crow, named Kansuke. She works at a cafe, which also operates as a bar, called Milk Hall. She is a bit mysterious, and prefers to keep things that way. She does open up slightly to Rikuo, and develops a crush on him. Haru fights her affection in Sing “Yesterday” For Me (Yesterday wo Utatte).
America from Hetalia
“I’m the hero!” Alfred F. Jones, also known as America or U.S, is a main character in Hetalia: Axis Powers. He is the personification of America: patriotic, heroic, and a natural born leader. Yet his confidence can come off as cockiness, and seems to poke his nose into everyone’s business. England had once seen him like a younger brother, but their separation has caused a rift in their relationship. America is often seen with a hamburger and soda pop, flashing a thumbs up. The “50” on the back of his bomber jacket represents the 50 states.
Italy from Hetalia
Italia Veneziano, also known as North Italy, is a main character in Hetalia: Axis Powers. Everyone thought he was a girl because of his high voice, but they realized otherwise when his voice dropped mid-song. He is cheerful and energetic, yet quite ditzy and sensitive. This annoys Germany because he prefers to wander off rather than listen to his commands. North Italy loves food, namely pasta. He carries a white flag because he often surrenders to other countries. Pair this costume with black shoes and you’re set!
Haiji from Run with the Wind
Haiji Kiyose is the captain of the track team he created at Kansei University. With extreme dedication, Haiji sets his eyes on the Hakone Ekiden competition. He is outgoing, friendly, a great leader, and even cooks for his teammates. He does everything, which could cause him more harm than good. Haiji balances his leadership duties in Run With The Wind (Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru).
Madara Uchiha from Naruto Shippuden
Madara Uchiha was one of the founders of Konohagakure. Madara saved and trained Obito Uchiha, and entrusted the latter with his plans and his name upon his eventual death, leading to Obito using the name Madara throughout much of his life. Madara wears a cowl neck robe and shinobi pants, with red samurai armor over top. Finding red armor can be difficult, so using red paint over light colored armor can help you achieve the same look.
Sora from Someday’s Dreamers II
Sora Suzuki leaves her countryside town of Bei for a magic internship in Tokyo. To honor her late father, Sora spends her summer working towards her mage license. She’s learning what city life and city people are like as she makes new friends in Someday’s Dreamers II (Mahou Tsukai Ni Taisetsu Na Koto ~Natsu no Sora).
Komari from Non Non Biyori Repeat
Komari Koshigaya wants to be recognized as a mature person. She is a smart girl, but doesn’t like that some of the younger girls look older than her. However, Komari still takes care of the younger girls around her in their countryside. Komari spends time with her little sister Natsumi, and her friends, Hotaru and Renge, in Non Non Biyori Repeat.
Nora / The Stray from Noragami
Most Regalia / Shinki (weapon-sidekick-people) belong to one master alone, but Nora’s developed a reputation as “The Stray.” Yato is one of many to have utilized Nora’s weapon form, but has since, to her ire, acquired a Regalia of his own. (Keeping a Regalia to himself is an entirely different challenge, given Yato’s careless, narcissistic personality, but that’s really not Nora’s problem.) Suffice to say, she gets jealous easily, yet is undeterred by others’ conflicts of interest.
Nora / The Stray wears her kimono folded the way of a corpse, and wears a hitaikakushi on her head like the ghosts of old Japanese mythology. We can recreate this ghostly headdress using a white headband and a small, folded cloth napkin, since it’s not something readily available, given its taboo nature. Additionally, we’ve used a large, striped shawl-scarf in place of the traditional obi sash worn around the waist of a kimono.
