Kakihara from Ichi the Killer
Kakihara (played by Tadanobu Asano) is the sadistic yakuza enforcer who meets his match in Ichi the Killer. Kakihara has distinctive scars on his face, which you’ll need molding wax to replicate. He wears a couple of outlandish outfits throughout the film, though the embellished shirt and iridescent pants he wears in his final showdown with Ichi is certainly one of the most striking. To recreate his costume, you may need to be a little flexible, as finding a holographic purple suit and sequin-embellished dress shirt can be difficult. A rose-gold button-down with a shimmery gold floral pattern will fill in nicely, and you can either choose to focus on the colors of Kakihara’s suit or the holographic quality, depending on your preference.
Yoichi Asakawa from Dead by Daylight
Unlike many licensed characters in Dead by Daylight, Yoichi Asakawa is not plucked straight from The Ring (1998), but is instead found again over 20 years after he lost his parents to Sadako Yamamura (the original Japanese version of Samara Morgan). Now a brilliant marine biologist, psychic, and paranormal researcher, he finds himself once again haunted and hunted by the Onryo and must use his knowledge and abilities to protect himself and assist others.
Kayako Saeki
Kayako Saeki is the main antagonist of the Japanese horror movie series Ju-On, also known as The Grudge. She haunts the home that she once lived in, terrorizing anyone who tries to move in. She even faced off with Sadako Yamamura from Ringu in the Japanese crossover film Sadako vs Kayako.
Samara Morgan from The Ring
In The Ring, Samara Morgan (Daveigh Chase) is pushed down a well by her adoptive mother to slowly die over 7 days. She returns as an evil spirit that climbs through TVs to kill others. For maximum effect, remember to wear you wig backwards.
