Beetlejuice from Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024)

The new trailer for the second Beetlejuice film released recently and is called Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, planned to release this fall of 2024. The film takes place in the future after the previous one we all know from 1988. Most of the cast is the same as the original, playing their original characters we all know and love.

One of the characters returning is of course Beetlejuice himself, played again by Michael Keaton. To dress like Beetlejuice as we can see him in the trailer, wear the iconic black and white striped suit, a white shirt, black tie, Beetlejuice wig, and face makeup for that undead look. Fabric paint can be used to distress the suit and shirt.

Batman (1989)

The 1989 version of Batman found Michael Keaton beneath the cowl and Tim Burton behind the camera. It’s a movie you either love or hate thanks to its striking visual style, signature ’80s vibe, and the way Keaton plays Bruce Wayne. Love it or leave it, though, there is no denying that this movie has one of the most iconic versions of the joker and some great action sequences that set it apart from other Batman films.

Getting an accurate Batman look does not come cheap or easy and that’s something to keep in mine with costumes like this. Starting with the basic suit you can switch out the belt to match the 1989 film. Items like the cowl and neck guard can be made using patterns from Etsy or you can order premade versions though the price tag runs much higher. Finally some killer boots and a grappling gun rounds out the ’80s Batman vibe!

riggan from birdman

Riggan Thomson from Birdman

In Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s Birdman or (the Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), Michael Keaton plays Riggan, an actor best known for portraying a superhero called Birdman in the ’90s.  Riggan’s daughter Sam is an addict in recovery as well as his assistant.  Riggan is attempting to mount a career comeback by writing, directing, and starring in a Broadway play opposite Mike Shiner.  Riggan’s grasp on reality is tenuous at best, as he often imagines himself levitating and flying as well as having conversations with his Birdman persona.

porco rosso

Porco Rosso

In the English version of Porco Rosso, Michael Keaton voices the titular character.  A former WWI fighter ace, Marco is cursed and therefore forced to spend his days as an anthropomorphic pig who goes by the name Porco Rosso and makes his living as a bounty hunter who chases air pirates.  Porco Rosso’s clothing consists of pretty standard pilot clothing including sunglasses, goggles, and a scarf.

Betelgeuse

Betelgeuse, also known as “Beetlejuice” is a trickster and mischievous ghost. He is the titular antagonist of the Tim Burton film Beetlejuice as well as the protagonist of the 90s cartoon series. Known as a “bio-exorcist,” Betelgeuse is able to get rid of the living from the homes of the dead. Say his name three times, and he is summoned.

Vulture from Spider-Man: Homecoming

Vulture

In Spider-Man: Homecoming, Vulture (Michael Keaton) is the nickname of Adrian Toomes, the owner of a salvage company turned supervillain after the government and Iron Man put him out of business. Vulture clashes against Spider-Man, sometimes even while the latter is wearing his homemade costume.

Walter Nelson

In Minions, Walter Nelson (voiced by Michael Keaton) is your typical suburban dad except for the fact that he and his wife are bank robbers. Despite his criminal ways, he has a soft spot for the minions and gives them a lift to Villain-Con in Orlando.

Batman

Batman (Christian Bale, Michael Keaton, or Adam West, depending on your age) is the secret identity assumed by billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne, driven by the murder of his parents. For this costume, we recommend you upgrade the mask, gloves, boots, and cape — basically everything except the chest and belt.
