Jiminy Cricket

“Cricket’s the name…Jiminy Cricket!” Jiminy Cricket is the secondary protagonist in the classic Disney film, Pinocchio. He is a wise-cracking yet dependable cricket who wears a top hat and always carries an umbrella. To help Pinocchio become a real boy, the Blue Fairy appoints him as his conscience. However he proves too high strung and impatient to be a caretaker. But ultimately his loving heart gives him the strength to grow and therefore realize he wants Pinocchio to succeed as they are truly best friends. Furthermore, Jiminy Cricket has been used as a mascot for the Disney company alongside the likes of Mickey Mouse and Tinkerbell.

Honest John

Honest John, also known as J. Worthington Foulfellow, is an antagonist in the Disney movieĀ  Pinnochio. Contrary to his name, he is a conniving fox. Together with his bumbling sidekick, Gideon, he spends his time swindling the villagers. Honest John uses his charisma and persuasion to convince others to do what he wants. In a get-rich-quick scheme, he sells Pinnochio to Stromboli. This character was based on the Fox in Carlo Collodi’s original collection of Pinnochio fairy tales.

Pinocchio from Shrek

Pinocchio is a recurring character in the Shrek movies. Like the Big Bad Wolf, he first appears as one of the fairy tale characters that was exiled to Shrek‘s swamp. In the sequel, Pinocchio becomes one of his best friends. He often gets into trouble by lying, which makes his nose grow. He gets turned into a real boy by Fairy Godmother‘s magic wand, but he ultimately gets turned into puppet again. Pinocchio appears in several of the Shrek video games as well. Attach three yellow felt circles down the shirt to resemble his buttons. You can sew them on or simply use hot glue. For added detail, you can also glue a leaf sprig to the fake nose.
