Bridget Von Hammersmark played by Diane Kruger is a famous Nazi Germany film star who is also an important spy for the Allies. She is an incredible actress and wins the nazis over with her charm which makes her a key asset for Operation Kino’s success. What makes this outfit complete is definitely the blank playing cards. Make sure to grab one and inscribe G.W. Pabst on it before placing it on the brim of your hat. Maybe get some friends to play ‘Who Am I?’ while you are at it.

Carl Showalter played by Steve Buscemi is one of the two antagonists in the 1996 film Fargo. Carl and his partner Gaear Grimsrud are hired by Jerry Lundegaard to kidnap his wife so he can use the ransom money to hide that he has been embezzling money from his car dealership. Carl is very talkative with a short temper and hates smoking. This outfit is perfect for fall and should be very comfortable for going out.

Siouxsie Sioux (real name Susan Janet Ballion) is best known as the lead singer of British post-punk band Siouxsie and the Banshees as well as The Creatures. 77UK punk style is a lot about layering and excess. Including the materials that are listed here, if you have extra chain jewelry at home, feel free to add to the costume. Another important detail for this outfit is hair and make-up. For the hair, apply the coloring pomade and brush it through so there are no clumps. Use the crimper in a few random spots to add texture. and tease from the back until it feels right to you! The pomade should hold everything in place so you wont need hairspray. Look up tutorials for hair teasing so you can be confident you are doing it right. There are also great tutorials online for mimicking Siouxsie’s iconic eyemake up! This look will be an ideal choice for Halloween night.

In Scarface, Gina Montana played by Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio is Tony Montana’s little sister. Tony is overprotective of her and hypocritically does not want her using or being around others that use or deal drugs. Gina is hard working with a passion for being a hairdresser but her life is ruined due to Tony’s obsession with control over her life. Gina’s Babylon Club outfit is all about gold metallics and classic smokey eye/red lip makeup.

Leo (July 23rd to August 22) is the fixed fire sign of the zodiac. They love to be in the spotlight and are as passionate as they are theatrical. Leo is in the 5th placement on the zodiac wheel. Being ruled by the Sun makes Leos natural born leaders. Leo’s downfall lies is being a bit too self absorbed. Leos love to stand out which is why this fiery red outfit is a perfect match for Halloween. If you live in a colder climate add a faux fur coat to complete the look!

Dorothy Vallens played by Isabella Rossellini is a performer at The Slow Club. Her favorite song to perform is Blue Velvet by Bobby Vinton. Recently her life has taken a turn for the worse and her son has been kidnapped by the violent drug dealer Frank Booth who is also her abusive partner and main suspect of a murder case in Lumberton. Jeffrey, a young college student, begins to investigate the murders on his own outside of police jurisdiction. Him and Dorothy become a lot closer and he helps her save her son. Dorothy’s character is complex. She has been abused physically and emotionally and is currently under Frank’s control. She is very unsafe and it dwindles her mental health. She is going through all these hardships and yet she still prevails as an elegant and strong role through out the film. This costume is very glam and best worn in the evening. Think Halloween night at a divey bar or local club where live music is played.

Carmilla (played by Jaime Murray in the Castlevania animated series) is the Vampiress Queen of Styria. She was a former general of lord Dracula’s army but by all accounts has become a traitor. She tricked the devil forgemaster Hector into joining her and then held him as her prisoner. She now plots to usurp control over the other vampires and create an army that will force humankind into fear and submission. Carmilla notably has a color scheme of red and gold with long white hair. I recommend using the white mascara in both your eyelashes and eyebrows to complete the vampiric look.

Debbie Harry is the lead singer of the band Blondie. Blondie was one of the frontier early punk bands of 1970’s New York City and played at the famed CBGB’s with bands like The Ramones and The New York Dolls. For Debbie’s hair I recommend using texturing paste and teasing it with a comb. Creating a dramatic smoky eye is essential, look up tutorials if you need a bit of practice. Finish off with a glossy lip and you are ready to go out.
