Josh Futterman from Future Man
In Hulu’s Future Man, Josh Futterman (played by Josh Hutcherson) is a janitor for Kronish Laboratories by day, but a die hard gamer by night. When he beats the seemingly unbeatable Biotic Wars game, he is met by soldiers from the future who believe he is the savior they and the rest of humanity have been waiting for.
April Ludgate from Parks and Recreation
On the sitcom Parks and Recreation, April Ludgate (played by Aubrey Plaza) is the sardonic parks department intern who eventually learns to follow her passions thanks in part to her mentor and boss Leslie Knope. April also marries resident goofball Andy Dwyer in a unique wedding ceremony. April often dresses in layers, wearing blouses under her sweaters or a hoodie or jacket over top a simple t-shirt. April and Andy also roleplay occasionally as Janet Snakehole and Burt Macklin. April makes the transformation primarily by wearing a black pillbox hat and using a long cigarette holder, and she will sometimes complete the look with a vintage black dress and pearls.
Tiger from Future Man
In Future Man, Tiger (played by Eliza Coupe) is the leader of the human resistance fighting against the genetically perfected Biotics in the near future. When Josh Futterman beats the Biotic Wars video game, Tiger travels back in time to find him in the hopes of saving humanity from their impending doom. Tiger’s most distinctive feature is her purple hair, and she is often dressed for battle in leather armor.
Dani Ardor from Midsommar
In Midsommar, Dani (played by Florence Pugh) is sent reeling from a devastating loss. As she attempts to deal with her depression following the death of her family, she embarks on a trip to attend a midsummer celebration in Sweden with her boyfriend and his friends. As the commune becomes increasingly less welcoming and more terrifying, Dani finds herself pulled into a brutal ritual with no way to escape. Dani’s clothing changes significantly throughout the film, beginning with comfortable hiking clothes before she dons the embroidered dresses typical of women in the commune. Once she is chosen as May Queen, she is completely adorned with flowers from head to toe. The variety of costuming provides ample room for interpretation.
Beth March from Little Women
Beth March (played by Eliza Scanlen) is the most fragile of the March sisters in Greta Gerwig’s Little Women. Beth takes after her mother and spends much of her time helping to care for the destitute Hummel family. However, when their baby falls ill with scarlet fever, Beth catches the disease as well and eventually passes away due to complications from her illness. Beth is an accomplished pianist and can often be found wearing sweet pink hues.

Grey wears comfortable clothing suited to a longtime bachelor and bartender.

Andy Bernard from The Office

Dex Parios from Stumptown
On the TV show Stumptown, based on the comics of the same name, Dex Parios (played by Cobie Smulders) is a sarcastic Portland private investigator and ex-Marine. With a complicated past and little tolerance for dwelling on it, Dex can usually be found avoiding talking about her feelings with a drink in her hand. Dex’s style mostly revolves around well-loved vintage t-shirts, slim fitting jeans, and practical footwear.
Laurie from Little Women
In Little Women, Theodore Laurence (better known as Laurie, and played by Timothee Chalamet) is Jo March’s best friend and would-be suitor. Quite rich and rather spoiled, he grows into an immature man after being turned down by Jo, though he eventually marries her youngest sister Amy after the two spend time together in France. Laurie’s clothing is expensive and fine, though he and Jo often share clothes in their childhood, which can sometimes leave him looking a bit haphazard.
