Tangerine from Bullet Train
Tangerine (played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson) is Lemon‘s brother and partner in the action comedy Bullet Train. Known as The Twins, Lemon and Tangerine are a deadly duo tasked with retrieving The White Death‘s son from a hostage situation and returning with the silver briefcase filled with ransom money. Things get out of hand, however, when the case goes missing and The Twins try to hunt down the person responsible to save their own limbs. Tangerine wears a blue pinstriped three-piece suit and plenty of gold jewelry, including a St. Christopher medal which he bestows on Lemon later in the film. His vintage Rolex is a bit steep in price, but a vintage-inspired rectangular-faced watch will do the trick. If you aren’t prepared to grow out a ‘stache of your own, a little spirit gum and the right fake one will do the trick.
Joel from The Last of Us (HBO)
Joel Miller (played by Pedro Pascal) is one of the main characters in HBO’s video game adaptation The Last of Us. Joel is a smuggler working out of the Boston Quarantine Zone twenty years into the pandemic that resulted in the death of his daughter Sarah. Soon, he is tasked with escorting Ellie Williams out of the QZ. Joel’s clothing is rugged and durable. He wears more than one outfit, but you can’t go wrong with a flannel shirt and jeans, maybe layered under a brown coat. Most importantly, Joel always wears his green banded wristwatch, even though it no longer works, because having it fixed was his daughter’s last gift to him before she died.
Lemon from Bullet Train
Lemon (played by Brian Tyree Henry) is an important supporting character in the action comedy Bullet Train. One half of the well-known assassin duo The Twins, Lemon is a little obsessed with Thomas the Tank Engine, and less than thrilled with the code names his partner Tangerine chooses for them. Despite this disagreement, the affection between The Twins is obvious even as they shoot their way through baddies to save The White Death‘s son and battle it out with Ladybug for the all-important silver briefcase. Lemon wears dark jeans and a denim jacket at the start of the film, as well as an orange tie and white dress shirt. You can top off the look with gold hoops and a rectangular smartwatch, and don’t forget to hydrate with a nice, refreshing bottle of Fiji water.
Ladybug from Bullet Train
Ladybug (played by Brad Pitt) is the protagonist of the action comedy Bullet Train. An assassin deep in therapy, Ladybug is sent to fetch a silver case belonging to The White Death from the titular train, only for things to go wildly off the rails. Ladybug must fight a number of others including Lemon, Tangerine, and The Hornet, in pursuit of his quarry. Ladybug has shaggy blonde hair and boards the train with a beige bucket hat and dark-framed glasses. His outfit also includes charcoal pants, a green jacket, white tee, and white sneakers. The Breitling timepiece Ladybug wears in the movie can set you back a pretty penny, so opt for a more budget-friendly pilot watch instead to complete the look.
Sarah from The Last of Us (HBO)
Sarah Miller (played by Nico Parker) is Joel‘s daughter in the HBO video game adaptation The Last of Us. Sarah is kind and generous, teasing her father on his birthday while making him breakfast and taking time to have his watch repaired as a gift. Unfortunately, Sarah meets an untimely demise at the very beginning of the pandemic which sets the series in motion. Sarah wears pale jeans with some doodled decorations on the right leg, but the defining aspect of her outfit is her Halican Drops t-shirt. She also uses a purple backpack and wears a few adjustable bracelets on her left wrist, as well as a shark tooth necklace.
Julius and Vincent Benedict from Twins
Julius and Vincent Benedict (played by Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito, respectively) are the unlikely title characters of the ’80s comedy Twins. When Julius, the result of an experiment designed to create the perfect man, discovers he has a twin brother, he goes in search of Vincent, a petty criminal who is his exact opposite in almost every way. The characters wear multiple costumes throughout the film, but some of their best looks are those they choose to match. You can emulate their twinning style with a pal by choosing a short sleeve button-down with a busy print reminiscent of the 80s paired with a light-colored suit, brown boat shoes, and basic sunglasses.
The White Death from Bullet Train
The White Death (played by Michael Shannon) is the boogeyman bad guy who orchestrates the events of Bullet Train. The White Death is a larger-than-life force alluded to throughout the film, responsible for wiping out an entire crime syndicate but now known to live in seclusion following the death of his wife. He brings together the people he deems responsible for this loss in order to exact revenge, but is surprised when his daughter is on the train as well. The White Death is an imposing figure with long hair and a plethora of tattoos. His two main looks are a black suit with a red demon mask in flashbacks and a long yukata-like robe over a white dress shirt and slacks when he arrives on the train. Whichever you choose to recreate, you’ll start with a grey wig, dark slacks, and a white dress shirt. Then, add the pieces you need to achieve either look in full.
Sheva Alomar from Resident Evil 5
Sheva Alomar (voiced by Karen Dyer) is a Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance agent who first appears in Resident Evil 5. As part of the West African branch of BSAA, Sheva is assigned to help Chris Redfield navigate Kijuju in order to stop the sale of a powerful bioweapon. Sheva is a versatile agent, making her an excellent ally. Sheva’s costuming is in line with her profession and role in the game. She wears sturdy boots and green pants, with a plethora of belts and harnesses to hold her supplies and weapons. Her camisole top includes a light blue and white pattern, so look for a tank top that has similar colors or the same cut. She also wears forearm guards, fingerless gloves, and a colorful necklace. A red tattoo pen and a steady hand are your best bet for recreating the tattoo on her left bicep.
Bugs Bunny from Space Jam
Bugs Bunny is one of the most iconic of the Looney Tunes and has existed in many different iterations, including as a basketball player in Space Jam and Space Jam: A New Legacy. Playing opposite NBA superstars including Michael Jordan and LeBron James, Bugs must rally his friends to defend the Earth from an intergalactic threat by winning against the Goon Squad on the court. To dress like Basketball Bugs, you’ll need to start with a rabbit costume like a onesie and layer a basketball uniform over top. You can add additional details like gloves and slippers, or opt for a set of bunny ears instead of the hood. Likewise, if you want to take it to the next level, you can sew or glue a rabbit tail to the outside of your chosen uniform’s shorts.
Shadow Moth from Miraculous Ladybug
Gabriel Agreste (voiced by Keith Silverstein in English) is the main antagonist of Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir. He has several different iterations, including Hawk Moth. His Shadow Moth version shares a similar purple color palette, with a few differences. To recreate this particular villainous look, you’ll need a purple tail coat. Though it may not be possible to find one with the particular peacock-inspired tails of the cartoon original, look for something with a wide collar and a long hem in the back to get as close as possible. Pair this with darker purple trousers and purple dress shoes as your base. For his mask, a silver hood can be used and improved with a little DIY; simply color the purple and black found around the right eye hole with some markers. Add gloves, a fan, and a cane with a dash of purple to complete the look.
