Bucky Barnes in Captain America: Civil War

In Captain America: Civil War, Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) was abducted and brainwashed by Hydra. For the last 70 years, he has been their mindless killing machine as the Winter Soldier, but now he’s free and finding himself again. While on the run, he stops in Romania and tries to make a normal life for himself. This includes wearing gloves to hide his prosthetic left hand and shopping for plums at the local farmer’s market. He wears layers in case he has to take off again, though the red Henley in this costume is his most iconic look from the movie. Willa’s Wild Life is a French-Canadian that follows the exploits of Willa (voiced by Jordan Todosey), a little girl with a sweet nature and a love of exotic animals. Her parents might not like that she has such a wild menagerie but that’s okay with Willa. She loves her animals and the adventures they get into together.

Cosplaying as Willa is as easy as a green shirt, green socks, green headband, and a red jumper dress. Add in some black Mary Jane flats and you’re good to go! You can take the cosplay even further by adding in a stuffed camel or crocodile so you’ve got your own wild wonderful friend to have on your adventure.

The Dragon Ball franchise is epic and sprawling. Timelines criss cross and interweave among different movies and shows and written formats. And from that tightly woven web comes Future Trunks. With an entirely different life and experience set from the original Trunks, he is a unique character with a wildly different approach to things that his counterpart.

Most of Future Trunks’ costume is very straight forward. Loose black pants tucked into yellow boots and held up with a blue belt. A black tank top beneath a padded blue vest. And lilac hair that you may have to style a little to get just right. But there are a few elements, such as the yellow bunching on his belt or the silver toe tips on his shoes, that you might have to DIY. they’re small touches that can really make your cosplay pop, but the costume looks great without them too!

Musa from Run with the Wind

Musa Kamara is a second year Engineering student at Kansei University. He is an international student being sponsored from Tanzania. Musa joins the track team created by Haiji, and trains along side the rest of the team on their journey. His kind personality is a soft spot in the team. However, Musa’s gentle nature doesn’t stop him from being an ace athlete in Run with the Wind (Kaze ga Tsuyoku Fuiteiru).

Rei Hino also known as Sailor Mars is voiced most frequently in the original Japanese anime by Michie Tomizawa, and in the English dub by Cristina Valenzuela. Rei is constantly having petty fights with Usagi. She is hot-headed but thoughtful in her choices. Not to mention she has great fashion taste! For make up I suggest doing a very basic winged liner. rub a bit of highlighter jelly together on your fingers and dab it across your cheekbones for a sparkly blush look.

Highly competitive and great at almost any extreme sport, Oswald “Otto” Rocket is zooming around Ocean Shores with his friends. Otto doesn’t mind a challenge, so he constantly tries out new tricks. He usually does surfing, skate boarding, cycling, and long boarding. He is also captain of the youth league street hockey team, and can often be seen at at his dad’s shop, the Shore Shack.

Kikyō from InuYasha

Born in Japan during the Feudal Era, Kikyō was the priestess and shrine guardian of her village in the anime InuYasha. She sacrificed her life to keep the Shikon Jewel out of the mortal realm but it was later revived by her reincarnation Kagome Higurashi. Kikyō was voiced by Noriko Hidaka in the original Japanese Anime and by Canadian voice actress Willow Johnson in the English dub. This costume is very low maintenance and most of the work will be in styling the wig. Try looking up tutorials to create a great looking hair bow with the ribbon that will hold your hair in place all day.

Jackie helps keep the cyberworld safe along side her friends Inez, Matt, and Digit in Cyberchase. Her knack for organization and patterns helps solve problems the gang comes across. The lively fashionista likes to stay on top of things. When her mind starts spinning, she’ll start moving, which is why you might hear her say, “Make room! I gotta pace.”

Captain Sea Hawk from She-Ra and The Princesses of Power

Captain Seahawk voiced by Jordan Fisher is a quirky character in the She-Ra universe. He tends to over-exaggerate his heroic nature but never the less has a good heart and works alongside the princess alliance. He is infatuated with princess Mermista who eventually warms up to him as well. This costume is comfortable and casual. For a little extra flair mimicking seahawk’s mustache with a brow pencil could complete the look.
