Anzu Hoshino from Romantic Killer
Anzu Hoshino (voiced by Rie Takahashi and Deneen Melody) is the main character of the anime and manga series Romantic Killer. Anzu loves cats, chocolate, and video games, but her life is turned upside down when a wizard named Riri takes away her favorite things and forces her to live her life as if it’s a real-life otome game. Anzu has messy red hair she wears in a ponytail and while at school, she wears her standard uniform including red sneakers, blue knee high socks, and a cream-colored polo shirt. Finding an exact match for her skirt can be tricky, so opt for the one you think best represents the original. Anzu’s casual clothes often include cats, so if you’re chilly and need to add a sweater to your costume, opt for one with a cat print of some kind.
Super Lois from All-Star Superman
Lois Lane (voiced by Christina Hendricks) takes on some superpowers of her own in the comic and cartoon movie All-Star Superman. Superman gives Lois, who is usually a journalist without superpowers, a serum that provides her with his abilities for 24 hours. Super Lois’ costume is very similar to Superman’s, consisting of a blue and yellow leotard with red cape, gloves, and boots. You can layer a yellow crop top over a blue long-sleeved body suit to get closer to her costume’s design.
Druig from The Eternals
Druig (Barry Keoghan) is a character in the Marvel film, The Eternals. He’s an Eternal, an immortal, super-powered being created to eradicate Deviants to help populate the Celestial race. Druig and nine other Eternals get sent to Earth but are forbidden to interact in human conflicts. He has the ability to use cosmic energy to control minds. He becomes frustrated with the other Eternals regarding their interaction with humanity. He retreats to the Amazon rainforest and starts a cult. He only seems to like Makkari, and they develop a trusting, intimate relationship. His non-hero look is quite simple, so this guide includes that too. Use the marker to draw the designs on the armor.
Emma from The Promised Neverland
In The Promised Neverland, Emma is a smart, cheerful, friendly 11 year old living at the Grace Field House orphanage. Life there is idyllic, with good food, comfortable beds, and plenty of games. When they find out that their purpose is to be raised as meat for demons, it’s Emma who leads the other orphans to escape for freedom.
Mighty Thor (Jane Foster)
Jane Foster (Natalie Portman) is a character in the Thor movies who becomes Mighty Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder. After breaking up with Thor, Jane tries to find a cure for her late-stage cancer. However, Thor told Mjolnir to look after Jane, so she is revitalized as the superhero Mighty Thor. When she reunites with the god of thunder, Thor is understandably shocked (and even quite jealous at the expense of Stormbreaker). Jane fights alongside Thor, Valkyrie, and Korg to stop the villain Gorr, who wishes to eradicate all the gods. With her intelligence combined with this newfound power, Jane Foster shows girls can be strong heroes too.
White Rabbit
The White Rabbit is a supervillain in the Marvel comics, namely an enemy of Spider-Man. Formerly known as Dr. Lorina Dodson, she became evil after killing her husband and using her inheritance to buy dangerous gadgets. She became The White Rabbit, going insane to the point of ridiculousness. While she has themed carrot bombs and rabbit mutant henchmen, her most ostentatious weapon is a giant armed robot rabbit.
Batman (1939)
By day, he’s Bruce Wayne, a wealthy inventor and philanthropist, but by night, he dons the persona of Batman, the vengeful protector of Gotham City. Created by artist Bob Kane and writer Bill Finger, Batman made his debut in 1939 with this suit. As always, the suit follows a dark color palette, complete with the signature bat ear cowl and cape. It hasn’t changed much throughout the years!
Gwen Stacy
Gwen Stacy has graced the pages of many a Marvel comic book. As the original love interest of Peter Parker, who met a tragic end both on page and screen, Gwen lives on in multiple iterations including as Gwenpool and Spider-Gwen. Gwen Stacy has been played by several Hollywood actresses including Bryce Dallas Howard, Emma Stone, and Hailee Steinfeld. In her comic form, Gwen has long blonde hair and bangs and often sports a pencil skirt and slouchy boots.
Doc Samson
Doc Samson is a character in the Marvel universe. His real name is Leonard Skivorski Jr, appearing primarily in The Incredible Hulk comics. He worked alongside Bruce Banner as a psychiatrist, and exposed himself to some of the gamma radiation that created the Hulk. As a result, he received superhuman strength and a muscular physique, as well as long green hair. Like his namesake, his power depended on the length of his hair.
Diane from Lumberjanes
Diane (also known as Artemis in some circles) used to be one of the Lumberjanes’ enemy. She eventually saw the light, however, and now she’s firmly on the Lumberjanes’ side.
In addition to being an incredibly powerful goddess, Diane is also a great closet cosplay. A black wig is really the only piece that might be considered costume-specific but it’s also a versatile item that can match many different cosplays. Gold hoop earrings and bracelets as well as a purple headband serve as Diane’s accents while her outfit consists of a purple shirt, a tan vest, tan cargo shorts, white socks, and hiking boots.
