Nick Goode from Fear Street 1978
Nick Goode (played by Ted Sutherland in the 1978 installation) is a counselor at Camp Nightwing. He’s fond of Ziggy Berman. More fond than a counselor should be. That all goes out the window when another camper goes on a rampage and starts targeting kids from Shadyside. Kids like Ziggy. Nick tries to keep her safe, but he’s not as innocent as he may seem.
There are two ways to get Nick Goode’s look. Both looks use a pair of tight jeans, classic sneakers, and a short dark wig. One look pairs all that with a baseball-style shirt in red and white while the other uses a Camp Nightwing counselor’s shirt.
Squidward Tentacles from SpongeBob SquarePants
Squidward Tentacles (voiced by Rodger Bumpass) is SpongeBob‘s prickly neighbor and co-worker on the cartoon series SpongeBob SquarePants. Squidward has a light blue-green body and wears a yellow polo shirt. As a squid, Squidward has several more legs than any human who might decide to dress up as him. If you want to just wear the costume without the extra limbs, that’s certainly fine. If you decide you’d like to have a little fun and DIY a few extra legs, consider using pool noodles and following a tutorial like this one.
Doc Samson
Doc Samson is a character in the Marvel universe. His real name is Leonard Skivorski Jr, appearing primarily in The Incredible Hulk comics. He worked alongside Bruce Banner as a psychiatrist, and exposed himself to some of the gamma radiation that created the Hulk. As a result, he received superhuman strength and a muscular physique, as well as long green hair. Like his namesake, his power depended on the length of his hair.
Vic the Slick from Carmen Sandiego
Vic is all about the loud and the obnoxious. Whether it’s his suits, his personality, or his heists, it’s all the same for Vic. He’s stolen Alcatraz and Carmen Island, all for his boss, Carmen Sandiego.
To get Vic’s look you’re going to need a few key, loud pieces. Temporary black hair dye also serves as pomade to dye and slick back your hair. An eyeliner pencil can draw on his thin mustache while a gold chain is his main accent. Add in a lime green shirt, plaid polyester suit, and black shoes, and you’re ready to steal yourself an island of your own. Although you shouldn’t. There’s a reason Vic always ends up in jail.
Missy Cooper from Young Sheldon
Melissa “Missy” Cooper (played by Raegan Revord) is the fraternal twin sister of Sheldon Cooper on the TV series Young Sheldon. The polar opposite of her twin brother, Missy is utterly disinterested in schoolwork and often feels jealous of her brother and the attention he receives from their mother Mary. Missy’s style varies throughout the series, but often lingers on the more tomboy-ish side of things, especially when she discovers she has a talent for baseball. She also often dons overalls, especially in her younger days, if you find yourself more in the mood for shorts than a pinafore dress.
Diane from Lumberjanes
Diane (also known as Artemis in some circles) used to be one of the Lumberjanes’ enemy. She eventually saw the light, however, and now she’s firmly on the Lumberjanes’ side.
In addition to being an incredibly powerful goddess, Diane is also a great closet cosplay. A black wig is really the only piece that might be considered costume-specific but it’s also a versatile item that can match many different cosplays. Gold hoop earrings and bracelets as well as a purple headband serve as Diane’s accents while her outfit consists of a purple shirt, a tan vest, tan cargo shorts, white socks, and hiking boots.
Zarya Moonwolf from Mysticons
Zarya Moonwolf (voiced by Nicki Burke) can be as tough as they come. But when it comes to her friends, she is nothing by loyalty and love. Which is why it’s a good idea not to cross them. Or her. You might end up on the wrong end of a Mysticon Ranger’s bow!
Cosplaying Zarya takes a little bit of patience and a fairly steady painting hand. Her blue hair can be copied with a wig while boot toppers and gauntlet gloves come close to her look. To get her top, however, you’ll need a light blue shirt as well as dark blue, white, and gold fabric paint. The paint serves to add in the various designs of her shirt as well as the main portion of her belt. The same paint decorates dark blue leggings to resemble her pants and the cuffs of the gauntlet gloves.
Link’s bow is a close second to Zarya’s in general shape and some paint adds in the proper details. Spray paint it dark blue, then go back in with light blue acrylic paint and highlight the details. A light blue cape finishes the look once its edges are properly tattered.
Hunter from The Owl House
Hunter (voiced by Zeno Robinson) is an antagonist on the animated series The Owl House. Also known as the Golden Guard, Hunter is the nephew of Emperor Belos. Hunter’s uniform consists of an ivory hooded cloak and golden tunic, brown boots and gloves. He also wears a golden mask that can be difficult to recreate, though replicas are available for purchase. If you’d rather go maskless, be sure to use some scar wax to recreate Hunter’s distinctive facial scar. Otherwise, a generic golden mask can evoke a similar look, even if it’s not an exact match.
Ralsei from Deltarune
Ralsei is a Darkner from the Deltarune game. Ralsei is a secondary protagonist and a friend to Kris. He also acts as the party’s healer. When not wearing his hat, Ralsei appears as a white goat-like creature. When wearing his hat, however, his fur turns black in color instead. To recreate his look, you’ll need to layer a green robe, hat, and glasses over black underlayers. You can use white and black fabric markers to add details to the face mask and the front of the robe.
Angel from Rent
Angel Dumott Schunard is a character in the musical RENT, written by Jonathan Larson to depict bohemian life in Lower Manhattan’s East Village during the HIV/AIDS crisis. Angel is a street drummer who finds Collins beaten up and left on the street. The two blossom into lovers and move in together. Both of them are HIV positive, and Angel eventually succumbs to the disease. Her funeral is a pivotal point in the musical, and changes the relationships between the characters. She is very caring, giving, and kind. Fans speculate whether she is a drag queen or a transgender woman, or perhaps even genderfluid.
