Green Hornet

The Green Hornet (1960s)

Wealthy playboy by day and masked vigilante by night, the Green Hornet’s story is not unlike most popular superheroes. It is his unique fighting style, heavily inspired by Asian martial arts, that sets him apart. The Green Hornet has entertained families since the 1930s, appearing on radio shows, a black-and-white TV show (starring Van Williams) in the 1960s, and even a movie (featuring Seth Rogen) in 2011.

Daisy Fuller from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Daisy Fuller from The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

In The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Benjamin ages backwards, while Cate Blanchett’s Daisy Fuller ages forwards, like any normal person would. After observing each other’s lives go by in their respective directions for years, the day their ages finally become compatible arrives, and they meet for dinner as peers. Love blossoms for as long as it can without seeming terribly weird, and that’s all that can be said without spoiling the entire film for you.

Batman from Batman (1989)

Batman (1989)

The 1989 version of Batman found Michael Keaton beneath the cowl and Tim Burton behind the camera. It’s a movie you either love or hate thanks to its striking visual style, signature ’80s vibe, and the way Keaton plays Bruce Wayne. Love it or leave it, though, there is no denying that this movie has one of the most iconic versions of the joker and some great action sequences that set it apart from other Batman films.

Getting an accurate Batman look does not come cheap or easy and that’s something to keep in mine with costumes like this. Starting with the basic suit you can switch out the belt to match the 1989 film. Items like the cowl and neck guard can be made using patterns from Etsy or you can order premade versions though the price tag runs much higher. Finally some killer boots and a grappling gun rounds out the ’80s Batman vibe!
