In Brightburn, Brandon Breyer (Jackson A. Dunn) is a baby from the stars with superpowers who is taken in by a couple. They attempt to raise him to use his powers for good, much like Superman, but an evil begins to grow in him that he eventually unleashes, much to everyone’s horror.

In the third episode of LOVE DEATH + ROBOTS called “The Witness”, a woman who just gets off her shift at a strip club witnesses a brutal murder across from the hotel she’s staying at. When the murderer spots her, a game of cat-and-mouse begins through the streets of a surreal city. In The Umbrella Academy, Grace Hargreeves (Jordan Claire Robbins), better known as Mom, is the adoptive mother of the Umbrella Academy kids. She is actually a robot built by Reginald after Vanya kept killing their nannies using her powers.

In Harry Potter, Bellatrix Lestrange (Helena Bonham Carter) is a pure-blood Dark witch and she certainly dresses the part. After graduating from Hogwarts, she became a Death Eater and is fanatically devoted to Lord Voldemort.
