If the Tower falls, as the Man in Black wants, all the many universes linked to it will be destroyed. As expected, the Man in Black dresses entirely in black.
Jake Chambers
A young boy with powerful psychic abilities, Jake Chambers (Tom Taylor) follows his visions to a portal to another dimension called Mid-World in the 2017 adaption of Stephen King’s novel the Dark Tower. In this western-style parallel universe he befriends Roland Deschain, the last Gunslinger, and comes up against the Man in Black. The Man in Black wants to use Jake’s powers to destroy the Tower that links all universes; Jake and Roland set out to stop him. Jake dresses like all other boys his age do, in a casual hoodie, jeans and plaid shirt.
Nardole
The endearing, cowardly Nardole (Matt Lucas) was a brief companion of the 12th Doctor on the BBC TV series Doctor Who. Originally an employee of the Doctor’s wife, River Song, Nardole lost his head in an attempt to discover River’s whereabouts but was reassembled by the Doctor. The two joined forces for a short while, and then Nardole made a courageous decision that lead him down a different path. Nardole dresses in a distinctive, goofy outfit of burnt orange coat, beanie and glasses.
Jamie Fraser
The chivalrous, handsome Scottish Highlander who rescues Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) after she falls through a time portal in the Starz TV series Outlander, Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) selflessly offers to marry her in order to protect her from the villain Randall. He and Claire fall in love, despite her being from the future and already having a husband. Throughout the series he endures great hardships because of his love for her, yet it never wanes. As a true Scotsman, he wears traditional highland clothing.
Johnny from Ed, Edd, n Eddy
In Ed, Edd, n Eddy, Johnny is optimistic and generally pretty weird, but is mostly well-liked by the other children of the cul-de-sac. However, his larger than average head often subjects him to names like “Fathead” or “Melonhead.” Johnny is rarely caught without his best (and imaginary) friend, plank. For this costume’s purposes, a 2×4 piece of wood and some crayons would be more than sufficient to create plank’s likeness.
Chang Wufei
A descendant of Chinese warriors, Chang Wufei pilots gundam Shenlong in the anime TV series Gundam WIng. He is a fierce, conflicted, emotionally volatile pilot, often triggered into impassioned outbursts and refusing to fight against those he deems weak. Before he piloted Shenlong, he was married to a woman named Meiran as per his clan’s customs. When she died in an Alliance attack on their colony, he took up his fight for justice in her name. He wears high-waisted baggy white pants over a blue tank top and sports a short ponytail.
Noah Dietrich
In The Aviator, Noah Dietrich (John C. Reilly) is Howard Hughes‘ chief executive officer for his business empire. He served Hughes from 1925 to 1957, before they had a falling out over Dietrich’s capital gains income. Though the portrayal is accurate in terms of style, personality, and mannerisms, one criticism is that the film downplayed his role in Hughes’ success.
