Carbon Costume

Dr. Melissa “Mel” King (played by Taylor Dearden) is a second year resident who joins the emergency department also known as The Pitt at Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center.  Mel did a previous rotation at a VA hospital and is the primary caregiver for her sister, Becca, who is autistic.  She starts in the Pitt the same day as Dr. Trinity Santos, Dr. Dennis Whitaker, and Dr. Victoria Javadi.  Mel is a compassionate doctor with a knack for connecting with her patients.  She wears black scrub pants, a heather purple t-shirt, a black zip up, and Nike sneakers.

Jinu is a main antagonist in the Sony animated movie, K-Pop Demon Hunters. He is the leader of the Saja Boys, a group of demons masquerading as a K-Pop act. It was his idea to create a group to rival HUNTR/X to destroy the Honmoon and provide souls for Gwi-Ma. In exchange, he wants Gwi-Ma to erase his memories, since he feels deep shame for choosing to abandon his human family. Charismatic yet deceitful, Jinu only looks out for himself – until he forms a close bond with Rumi.

In Pokemon Masters EX, Mallow is a chef from the Alolan region who perfects her apple pie recipe. She pairs with the dragon-type Appletun. Mallow’s Palentine’s Day outfit includes a cream beret and chef jacket with red skirt and gold/green frilly apron.

Mira is a main character in the Sony animated film, K-Pop Demon Hunters. She is one of the three members of HUNTR/X, a K-Pop girl group whose singing powers the Honmoon, which protect the world from demons. As the black sheep of her family, Mira is the rebellious one. Despite her tough and blunt demeanor, she deeply cares for Rumi and Zoey, and doesn’t shy away from telling them that. When battling demons, she wields a spear.

Pin-Lee (played by Sabrina Wu) is a member of the PreservationAux survey team in the Apple TV series Murderbot based on The Murderbot Diaries series of novels.  Alongside other members of the survey team including Gurathin, Pin-Lee helps conduct scientific research for a number of projects.  While working with the PreservationAux arm of the Preservation Alliance, Pin-Lee wears a grey uniform including a long sleeve shirt, t-shirt, and vest.  They also wear a darker grey pair of pants and dark boots.  You can create your costume by layering simple pieces and then add orange accents with dimensional fabric paint.

Rumi is the protagonist in the Sony animated film, K-Pop Demon Hunters. She is one of the three members of HUNTR/X, a K-Pop girl group whose singing powers the Honmoon, which protect the world from demons. Rumi is the lead singer and leader of the group. She secretly is half-demon, and she hides her patterns under her clothes. Although initially enemies, Jinu and Rumi bond over their shared insecurities about being demons. In battle, she wields a saingeom sword. For Rumi’s jacket patches, we recommend this file for Cricut machines or iron on patch cut outs.

Billy Jenkins (played by Haley Joel Osment) is a supporting character in the Netflix movie sequel Happy Gilmore 2.  A player in Frank Mantee‘s Maxi Golf League, Billy showcases a powerful swing and a penchant for showmanship as he faces off against Happy Gilmore.  Billy wears several outfits throughout the film, often wears shorts and polo shirts.  One of his outfits includes a green and blue checkered Nike polo with matching white Nike sneakers sporting a green swoop.  Choose a similar shirt and a pair of white sneakers with green details on the side.  Another look he sports is a Masters-themed two piece outfit you can emulate with a green outfit embellished with some lime green fabric paint if you’re feeling creative.  No matter which outfit you choose, finish your costume with a pair of yellow lens sunglasses.

Millie (voiced by Vivian Nixon) is one of the main protagonists of Helluva Boss. She is married to Moxxie and works as an assassin at I.M.P., where Loona is a receptionist.  Millie has red skin and a long red tail with black horns.  For your costume, start with a red bodysuit and red face paint, then add a horned headband, red Devil tail, black cold shoulder top, black distressed jeans, and black open toed shoes.
