Volo is a character in Baldur's Gate 3. He is a Human Wizard who appears in Act 1 of the game at the Sacred Pool, where he tries to interview a bear. If you speak with him, he then tries to interview you - though he won't agree with your retelling entirely. See, he's best known for his wildly inaccurate and exaggerated guidebooks. The player can allow Volo to join their camp. While there, he'll make quite the gory attempt to remove the Mind Flayer tadpole from your eye. But he gives you an enchanted eye in compensation, which grants Volo's Ersatz Eye as a permanent buff.
