Yatora Yaguchi is the main character of the manga Blue Period. Illustrated by Tsbuasa Yamaguchi, the series was serialized in Kodansha's seinen manga magazine and has been collected in ten volumes. Yatora is a second year high school student, who despite his delinquent lifestyle, achieves excellent grades. He feels his life is dull and predictable, which leaves him empty and frustrated. One day, he comes across his senpai, Mori, painting in the school's art club. Fascinated and inspired, he discovers a passion for painting. His goal is to eventually enroll in Tokyo University of the Arts.
