Carl Spackler from Caddyshack
In Caddyshack, when the upscale Bushwood Country Club is overrun with a gopher infestation, it’s the unhinged Carl Spackler (Bill Murray) who’s called in. And when flooding them out of their holes doesn’t work, he embarks on a scorched earth campaign.
Bloodhound Gang
The Bloodhound Gang is a Philly band known for their juvenile lyrics. In the music video for The Bad Touch, they’re fittingly wearing monkey suits as they sing about being nothing but mammals.
Dr. Eugene Porter
In The Walking Dead, Dr. Eugene Porter (Josh McDermitt) claims to be a scientist who has the cure for the zombie plague. We’ll see if he’s as smart as he says he is, but we know for sure he can’t be trusted with a firearm.
Riley Abel from the Last of Us
In The Last of Us, Riley Abel is a 15-year-old survivor and best friends with Ellie. She dislikes the military and sides with the radical Fireflies, but that won’t come between her and Ellie.
Rosita Espinosa
In The Walking Dead, Rosita Espinosa (Christian Serratos) accompanies Abraham Ford on zombie adventures. Her style, which blends military issue with sex kitten, won’t stop walker attacks but you know she’ll look good while she gets bitten.
Abraham Ford
In The Walking Dead, Abraham Ford (Michael Cudlitz) is a former Army sergeant who travels the post-apocalyptic wasteland in search of a zombie cure. Any resemblance to Duke Nukem is purely coincidental.
Beth Greene
In The Walking Dead, Beth Greene (Emily Kinney) is a teenage girl surviving the zombie apocalypse. Despite her shy and soft spoken nature, she’s quite tough and maintains her optimism. She’ll even sing you a song once in awhile.
Travis Bickle
In Martin Scorsese’s movie Taxi Driver, Travis Bickle (Robert De Niro) is a US Marine who gets a job as a New York City cab driver. He spirals into depression due to the street crime he witnesses every night and his lack of a love life. He’s starting to get fed up, and about to take things into his own hands.
Theodore Twombly
In Spike Jonze’s film Her, Theodore Twombly (Joaquin Phoenix) is a lonely man who, after buying an operating system with artificial intelligence, starts falling in love with it. While the technology is futuristic, the large glasses and high-waisted pants are a throwback. Also worth a look is the Her collection from Opening Ceremony in collab with director Spike Jonze.
