Cartoons
Amabel from Victor and Valentino
Amabel (voiced by Alex Cazares) is a character in the Cartoon Network animated series Victor and Valentino. Amabel is in a band and serves as a friend and love interest for Xochi Jalapeño. Amabel has a very punk-inspired look with heavy eyeshadow and an undercut. If you’re not looking to shave your own head, you can braid or pin back the right side of a light pink wig to make the hairstyle as similar as possible. It might be hard to find an exact match for Amabel’s dress, so focus on finding one in the same shade or with a similar silhouette to layer under your black cardigan. Throw on some black booties and you’re good to go.
Valentino Calavera from Victor and Valentino
Valentino Calvera (voiced by Sean-Ryan Petersen in all but the pilot episode) is one of the titular main characters of the Cartoon Network animated series Victor and Valentino. The half-brother of Victor, Valentino tends to be more mature than Victor. Unlike his brother, Valentino excels more in artistic endeavors than athletics and he has a penchant for collecting various items. Valentino has messy brown hair and wears an orange and red sleeveless shirt, white shorts, and brown shoes. He also carries a blue satchel. Finding an exact match for his shirt is unlikely, so look for shirts with texture or focus solely on either the red or orange, as either will look similar enough to the original.
Victor Guadalupe Morena Laguna Calaca Calavera from Victor and Valentino
Victor Guadalupe Morena Laguna Calaca Calavera from Victor and Valentino (voiced by Diego Molano) is one of the titular characters from the Cartoon Network animated series Victor and Valentino. “Vic” is Valentino‘s half-brother and is also friends with Xochi Jalapeño. Victor can be impulsive and is shown to have a competitive streak. Despite being much smaller in stature than Valentino, Victor is the more athletic of the two, with an affinity for soccer. Victor has black hair and thick eyebrows. If you want to darken yours, you can use a black eyebrow pencil. He also wears a white shirt and tan shorts under a blue poncho. You may need to be willing to trim the excess length from a poncho if you want to get the full look, though wearing a longer one will still work.
Vendetta from Making Fiends
Vendetta (voiced by Aglaia Mortcheva) is one of two main characters in the webshow turned tv series Making Fiends, as well as the primary antagonist.
She terrorizes her entire school with her fiends, the creatures she’s created, to the point where she pretty much runs the school because the students and all the faculty are scared of her. Charlotte, meanwhile, absolutely does not care, and is trying her absolute hardest to be her best friend, which in turn is met with Vendetta trying to (literally) destroy her.
Due to the fact that all the characters in this show are monochromatic in terms of their colors, this will be up to personality interpretation for the actual look.
I gave Vendetta a long green wig as she has pigtails that reach to about her mid-back, a simple long-sleeved green dress (there is a lighter color variation in that link, but I was a little torn on shades), black leggings to contrast Charlotte’s, green hair ties to blend with the wig, and black and bright green chunky platform boots as another contrast to Charlotte’s lace pastel blue ones.
Mime Bomb from Carmen Sandiego
Mime Bomb is one of the agents of V.I.L.E in the Netflix adaptation of Carmen Sandiego (2019).
He is one of Carmen’s former classmates, but ultimately followed in the path the school was teaching and became a criminal mime. We don’t know very much about him aside from the little we see in the show, but he’s often sent on stealth missions as he’s quiet and well adept at becoming part of a scene to gather information.
Mime Bomb has light greyish-blue eyes, wavy auburn hair tucked behind his ears, white face paint with a light red lip and emphasized black brows and heavy black eyeliner, and his outfit consists of a grey multi-toned striped turtleneck, black skinny pants, black flat shoes, white gloves, and a black beret.
Sousuke Mitsuba from Toilet Bound Hanako-kun
Sousuke Mitsuba from the anime/manga Toilet Bound Hanko-kun is a new, ghostly, addition to the radio broadcasting team at Kamome Academy, along with Tsukasa Yugi, Sakura Nanamine, and Natsuhiko Hyuuga, and was a member of the photography club when he was alive. He is voiced in Japanese by Daiki Kobayashi, and in English by Kyle Igneczi. He has pink hair tied up in a ponytail with red hairclips holding flyaways back and pink eyes with a blue highlight, one of which is covered by his bangs, and an ear-cuff styled earring. He became a ghost much more recently than the twins, so his outfit is the current Kamome Academy uniform, but with a pink cardigan over it, one sleeve draped over his injured arm, eggshell pants, deep pink shoes, and a long yellow scarf with one side striped in blue detailing, and the other ripped and stained with presumably blood from the accident he was in.
Ming Lee from Turning Red
Ming Lee (voiced by Sandra Oh) is the overbearing mother of Mei Lee in the Disney Pixar feature Turning Red. Ming runs the family temple along with her husband and daughter, and tends to have very rigid ideas of who her daughter is and what will make her happy, which is challenged when Mei undergoes her red panda transformation. Unless you’re crafty enough to sew your own, you’re unlikely to find an exact match for Ming’s traditional dress, so opt for ones in shades of green or blue instead. She also wears a green blazer and flats, green earrings, and a jade wedding band. Her panda spirit is locked away in a red gemstone necklace at the beginning of the film, which is replaced with her daughter’s pink Tamagotchi by the end of the movie, so choose whichever you prefer to complete the look.
Xochi Jalapeño from Victor and Valentino
Xochi Jalapeño (voiced by Cristina Valenzuela) is a character in the Cartoon Network animated series Victor and Valentino. A typically level-headed teenager, Xochi can be pushed to show her more aggressive side when taunted. She is friends with both Victor and Valentino, though their relationship can be tenuous when the boys tease her too much. She also has a crush on her friend Amabel. Xochi’s typical wardrobe consists of a cropped moto jacket, green top, striped leggings, and white heeled boots. She also wears two white bracelets, one on each wrist.
Kou Minamoto from Toilet Bound Hanako-kun
Kou Minamoto is part of the main trio of characters in the anime/manga Toilet Bound Hanako-kun, and is voiced in Japanese by Chiba Shōya, and Tyson Rinehart in English. Kou is a current Middle Schooler at Kamome Academy, and the younger son of the Minamoto family of exorcists, with his older brother Teru and his younger sister Tiara also part of the trade. He has bright orange spiky short hair, light blue eyes, sharp teeth, and wears an earring with a traffic safety amulet dangling from it, while his main outfit is the current Kamome school uniform, with a light blue shirt, eggshell pants, black undershirt, striped belt and tie, red wristband, and white and green shoes. In addition to his daily uniform, he also carries around an exorcists staff.
Diego Márquez from Go, Diego, Go!
Diego Márquez (voiced by Jake T. Austin and Brandon Zambrano) is the main protagonist of the Nickelodeon animated series Go, Diego, Go! Diego got his start as a supporting character on Dora the Explorer before breaking out in his own series, too. Diego has a big heart, with the goal of protecting animals and the environment. His original look includes a light blue t-shirt and darker cargo shorts as well as a vest. In later seasons of both shows, he dons grey cargo shorts and a dark pink short-sleeved hoodie. No matter which outfit you choose to emulate, you’ll need a watch and orange bag to complete the look.
