Eagle from Advance Wars
Eagle is a primary character in the video game Advance Wars, who joined the air force to honor his father. He is recognized as the commander-in-chief of Green Earth. Though he starts out as an antagonist, he becomes a powerful ally against Sturm later on. In some games, Eagle wears an orange scarf. Use the silver paint pen to draw the emblem the sleeve patches.
Embry G. Oliver from It’s Not Me, It’s My Basement
Embry G. Oliver is the protagonist of the horror game It’s Not Me, It’s My Basement. After their parents are eaten by the monster in their basement, Embry takes over feeding the creature by making it sandwiches. Embry lies to their neighbors about the whereabouts of their parents, claiming they are very ill. When Dr. D. Light attempts to help Embry and their parents, he meets an untimely end, too. Embry has long, messy white hair and wears green bunny slippers, pink striped pants, and a burgundy turtleneck sweater. Their apron has a yellow star on the chest with a red and green stain on the lower portion, which you can recreate with a little bit of paint.
Killjoy from Valorant
Killjoy (voiced by Eva Feiler) is an Agent in the Valorant video game. Born Klara Böhringer, Killjoy is originally from Germany and a nominee for the Distinguished Inventor award. She is the fourth person to join the VALORANT Protocol after Brimstone, Viper, and Omen. Killjoy has medium-length dark hair and round-framed glasses. She wears distressed skinny jeans, a cropped yellow coat, a green beanie, and grey t-shirt. Her accessories include green high-top sneakers, a fanny pack with green thigh harness, and a grey bandana. She also wears black gloves that are missing the pinkie and ring finger, which you can cut off a regular pair of gloves in order to make your costume. If a replica jacket seems a bit steep in price, a plain puffer coat with do just as well.
Dr. D. Light from It’s Not Me, It’s My Basement
Dr. D. Light is a character from the horror game It’s Not Me, It’s My Basement. Dr. D. Light tries to help Embry, who has told their friends and neighbors that their parents are very ill. What he comes to discover, however, is a much darker secret involving a monster in Embry’s basement. Dr. D. Light’s appearance is based heavily on those of a medieval plague doctor. The simplest way to recreate his look is to purchase a plague doctor costume set, which will come with a hat, hood, gloves, and a long jacket with a cowl. Replace the plague mask with a round white mask. With a little paint, some markers, and a dose of creativity, you can alter the mask to look more like the one from the game. Lastly, use a sun-shaped charm and jewelry cord to make the Doctor’s necklace.
Point Man from F.E.A.R. 3
The Point Man (with motion capture by Ron Hippe) is the playable protagonist of the F.E.A.R. video game series. The son of Alma Wade and the brother of Paxton Fettel, Point Man has served in the Army since the age of 17 and is eventually assigned to the First Account Assault Recon special forces detachment. In the third installment of the series, Point Man undergoes a bit of a makeover, revealing long, dark hair. He also wears a green shirt with a duct tape “P-1” patch on it, as well as sturdy tactical pants and boots.
Ashley Mizuki Robbins from Trace Memory
Ashley Mizuki Robbins is the main character of the Another Code video game series, in both Another Code: Two Memories (Trace Memory) and Another Code: R – A Journey into Lost Memories.
There won’t be a large feature of character backstory for this article, as I’ve only played the first one and the sequel is available on consoles not available in my region. Will update later once I’m able to acquire a copy!
Going on to the actual cosplay though:
Ashley has short white hair, and her eyes are a bit of a difficult color to pin down due to the sprite work, but I put in a dark grey that should work.
She wears a red-orange baseball style crop t-shirt with graphic detailing on the front, dark grey low-rise jeans with a white belt, black wristbands on each arm, and black sneakers with white detailing and laces.
(June) Akane Kurashiki from Zero Escape: 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors
Akane (voiced in Japanese by Miyuki Sawashiro and in English by Rena Strober [though she has a few VA changes throughout various ports]) is one of the main characters in 9 Hours 9 Persons 9 Doors in the Zero Escape video game series.
She has heavy involvement in the core plot of the game, as well as later parts of the series, along with her brother, Aoi. Akane is also the childhood friend of the main character in 999, Junpei.
Akane has long brown, side parted hair worn up in a partial bun with white hair pins/clips, and grey-blue eyes. She wears a light indigo t-shirt dress with loose sleeves, detailed with designs around the hems, long black sleeves underneath with stripes at the ends and matching socks. Her only main accessory (aside from the nonary game watch) is a black infinity scarf, and she wears loose brown boots to finish off the look.
Rayman
Rayman is the titular protagonist of Rayman, a side scrolling platform game. Made by Ubi Soft, the first installment was released in 1995 for the Atari Jaguar, Sega Saturn, & Sony Playstation. As Rayman, players must travel through six worlds to free all the caged Electoons. Only then will Rayman confront his enemy, Mr. Dark. This guide includes both a DIY or a simpler way by purchasing a pre-designed cosplay hoodie.
Bayonetta from Bayonetta 3
Bayonetta (voiced in Bayonetta 3 by Jennifer Hale) is the titular witch of the PlatinumGames series. Bayonetta is an Umbra Witch tasked with protecting the multiverse alongside her apprentice Viola in the third installment of the franchise. Bayonetta’s costume is complex and will require a little creativity to recreate. As a base, you’ll need black leggings with a lace cutout design and a puffy-sleeved backless shirt. Bayonetta’s belt and skirt in the game are crafted from her own hair. If you’d rather not collect your locks to weave a costume, a black obi sash and tutu will suffice. Lastly, you’ll need light purple gloves, glasses, and a long black wig plaited on either side with red cord. The gold details of her outfit, if you choose to add them, can be recreated with a glue gun, some gold glue, and applique pieces. Be strategic about which aspects of her costume are most important to you. You can add gold flowers to the tutu, floral applique to the gloves, and even some gold details to the heels of your shoes. Finding a replica gun from the game can be quite expensive, so consider using a toy foam blaster that will help evoke the same feel even if it’s not an exact match.
Clive Dove from Professor Layton and the Unwound Future
Clive (voiced in Japanese by Yuri Lowenthal and in English by Shun Oguri) is the main antagonist of the video game Professor Layton and the Unwound Future.
He pretended to be a future version of Hershel Layton’s apprentice, Luke Triton, in order to make it seem like there really were time shenanigans going on, to trick them.
Due to his appearance faking, he mostly just looks like an older Luke, with similar light brown hair, and a blue newsboy cap. He wears a white button up shirt with a grey-brown vest and blue tie over top, a light blue suit jacket, brown shorts, dark blue tube socks, and brownish-black buckled shoes.
