Mitth'raw'nuruodo, more commonly known as Thrawn, was a Chiss male who served as a member of the Chiss Ascendancy and Grand Admiral in the Galactic Empire in the Expanded Universe of Star Wars. He appears in numerous novels, comics, and even was introduced in the new Star Wars canon by being a major villain the show Star Wars Rebels, where he is voiced by Lars Mikkelsen. In his tactics Thrawn notably employed his philosophy based around understanding the philosophy and art of his enemies, making him one of the most terrifying and effective leaders in the Star Wars universe.
