Movies
Jeryline
Jeryline is one of the many unfortunate souls in the film Tales From The Crypt: Demon Knight. I had just watched this movie days ago and love her character due to how relatable and inspiring she is. This film deserves more attention if it hasn’t gotten any already!
Jeryline’s outfit is straight out of the ’90s with it’s matching fabric and grungy attitude sported as an alternative streetwear image. The pieces needed to pull off her look are: a blue denim shirt (with the sleeves cut off), a white cropped shirt, a pair of ratty denim blue jeans, a bleached casual buzzcut, abandana, piercings for both ears, some black working gloves, and a pair of chukka ankle boots.
Mrs. Peacock
In the film, Clue, Mrs. Peacock (Eileen Brennan) is the high society wife of a Senator. She is a guest of Mr. Boddy’s party, and is being blackmailed for accepting bribes to deliver her husband’s vote. To stay true to the board game, Mrs. Peacock killed the cook in the kitchen with the knife.
Kenny McCormick
Lovable and dirty-minded, Kenny comes from the poorest family in South Park and is often ridiculed for it by his friends. Because of his tightly zipped up coat and hood, Kenny’s voice is very muffled and often hard to understand. However, the character’s trademark is indisputably his incessant habit of being brutally killed over and over again.
Adam Maitland from Beetlejuice
Adam Maitland (Alec Baldwin), is the husband of Barbara Maitland and is one of the protagonists of the Tim Burton 1988 film Beetlejuice. After the two die, they enlist the help of bio-exorcist Betelgeuse to get the family who moved into their home out. Adam’s monster form with mask and eyeballs is optional, but if you do want to do it, make proper modifications to them such as holes on the eyes for your fingers.
Gendo Ikari
Gendo Ikari is the abusive father of Shinji Ikari and the commander of NERV from the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. Stern, cold, and infamous for his glare, Gendo is considered to be one of the main antagonists of Neon Genesis Evangelion, though he has his own motives.
The Beldam (Coraline’s “Other Mother”)
In the creepiest kid’s movie you’ll ever see, the Beldam (Teri Hatcher) is a creature that exists in an alternate world discovered by Coraline’s titular character. Posing as a more fun version of Coraline’s (Dakota Fanning) mother, the Beldam in its true form is a tall and willowy spider-like creature who kidnaps children and loves them obsessively until they die. The main physical difference between Coraline’s true mother and the Beldam in her mother’s form are the two shiny black buttons that cover her eyes.
Zoe Washburne
The devoted first officer and right-hand-man of captain Malcolm Reynolds, Zoe Washburne (Gina Torres) serves up a military attitude, wry wisecracks and crack shots in the first and only season of the fan-favorite TV show Firefly. Dressed like a Brown Coat (the rebel faction she and Mal served under) in a leather vest, gun holster and weathered boots, she looks as tough as she acts.
Henry Bowers from It (2017)
In Stephen King’s It (2017), Henry Bowers (Nicholas Hamilton) is the leader of the Bowers Gang who, along with Patrick Hockstetter, live to bully kids like Ben Hanscom and Richie Tozier from the Losers’ Club. Roll up your shirt cuffs and wrap a bandana around your wrist to complete the Bowers look.
Kyle Broflovski
Kyle Broflovski is the undeniable moral voice of reason in South Park. His end-of-episode wrap-up speeches about “what we’ve all learned today” have become a running joke in the show, with most characters sick of his preachy and holier-than-thou attitude. Still, Kyle always tries to do the right thing, not matter how often he is scoffed for it.
Wendy Torrance
Wendy Torrance is the wife of Jack Torrance and mother of Danny Torrance in the Stephen King novel The Shining and Stanley Kubrick’s 1980 film of the same name, where she’s portrayed by Shelley Duval.
