Professor Willow from Pokemon Go

In Pokemon Go, Professor Willow introduces beginner trainers to the game by giving them their first pokeballs, and experienced trainers a shot at catching Mew. With his silver fox looks and toned physique, any Pokemon trainer would be happy to follow Professor Willow’s orders.

Professor Juniper in Pokémon

Professor Juniper is the first female professor in the Pokémon series. Her specialisation is Pokémon origin and she is an old friend of Professor Oak, because who isn’t, right? Her clothes are pretty plain, especially when compared to the other Pokémon Profs.

Professor Elm in Pokémon

Professor Elm was Professor Oak’s top student. He studies Pokémon abilities and specialises in Pokémon breeding (and is credited with the discovery of Pokémon eggs). Elm is a known scatterbrain who, when working, forgets to eat. He often gets so focused on his studies that he becomes completely oblivious to his surroundings.

Professor Birch

Professor Birch in Pokémon

Professor Birch is the stoutly Pokémon professor for the Hoenn Region. He is more outgoing than the other professors and often takes his research with him outdoors, hence those really cool sandals. Birch’s research specialisation is Pokémon behaviour in the wild.

Giovanni from Pokémon

As the head of Team Rocket and the former gym leader for the Viridian City gym in the Kanto Region, Giovanni chooses Persian as his Pokémon. He normally has a very calm demeanour, trusting Jessie and James despite their nearly uncountable number of failures, but he is really a ruthless and evil leader. Let’s just say his fashion style is… unique.

Professor Oak in Pokémon

Are you a boy? Or are you a girl? Professor Oak is the very first Pokémon Professor you meet in the wonderful world of Pokémon. He’s forgetful, unable to remember the name of his nephew in games and he’s always around to remind you that you can’t use a bike in the ocean. However, he is an indispensable companion to Ash (and, really, all trainers).

The Eevee Brothers

In the Pokémon: Indigo League episode, “The Battling Eevee Brothers,” Ash (Veronica Taylor / Rica Matsumoto) and his friends come upon four brothers trying to convince the youngest how he should evolve his beloved Eevee. Each of the elder brothers has one of the original Eeveelutions: Jolteon, Flareon, and Vaporeon. Their hair and pants reflect which Pokémon specific element/type their Pokémon is now affiliated with.

Gym Leader Whitney

A gym leader who trains only the cutest of Normal-type Pokemon, Whitney (Yuko Miyamura / Megan Hollingshead) is a rather unorthodox trainer. She’s young, sensitive, and admittedly a bit immature, but her Miltank is a force to be reckoned with. If you defeat her, she will give you the Plain Badge…but only after crying about it.

Gym Leader Lieutenant Surge

Lieutenant Surge, aka “The Lightning American” (Fumihiko Tachiki / Maddie Blaustein) is the gym leader of Vermilion Gym. His Pokemon specialization is in Electric-types. During his time in the US Army, his life was saved by Electric-type Pokemon. His love and respect from them stems from that experience, and he appreciates trainers who are gutsy.

Gary Oak

Gary Oak is the grandson of Professor Oak and rival to Ash Ketchum. Arrogant and flashy, he takes great pleasure in collecting powerful Pokemon and taunting Ash during his journey whenever possible.
