Cybil Bennett from Silent Hill
In Silent Hill, Cybil Bennett is a hard-nosed police officer from a town neighboring Silent Hill. She’s skeptical that anything occult or paranormal is happening there, instead believing that the believers are crazy or on drugs. Cybil also makes an appearance in Dead by Daylight as a reskin of Cheryl Mason.
Jill Valentine from Resident Evil 3 Remake
In the 2020 remake for Resident Evil 3, Jill Valentine was redesigned from the 1996 design. The game designers explain that with the graphical limitations of the original, they had to design her to visually stand out — and that meant a tube top and mini skirt. With the improved photorealistic graphics of the remake, Jill got a makeover, fitting into the world better with more practical tactical while keeping her iconic style.
Charlotte Pickles from Rugrats
Charlotte Pickles (voiced by Tress MacNeille) is the stereotype of a ’90s career mom. She barks orders, demands progress, and knows exactly how she wants everything to go. Angelica had to get it from somewhere, after all.
Charlotte’s style is exactly what you’d expect for a career woman fresh from the ’80s. She wears her blonde hair in a high ponytail held in place by a blue scrunchy. Her red lips match both her stud earrings and her tie. Her white button down always pairs perfectly with either a blue or grey shoes and heels that match. And of course she never goes anywhere without her briefcase and her phone. Unfortunately her phone model is now a classic and very expensive (unless you want an inflatable novelty version) but a phone case can get you a look that is pretty close!
Irene from Drive
There is no real happy ending for Irene (played by Carey Mulligan). At least not with Driver. With her husband dead and Driver gone, Irene can only focus on doing what’s best for her son. That’s hard enough when you live in the world that Irene lives in.
Irene is the perfect closet cosplay option. She is a normal person with a closet like many other women. For Standard’s return party she wears a patterned tank top, a maxi skirt, and sandals. And, of course, the gold chain necklace she wears through most of the movie and her signature blonde bob.
Sylvie from Loki
Sylvie (Sophia Di Martino) is a character in Loki on Disney+. She is the rogue variant that the TVA has been trying to track down. Loki is the only one who can stop her because she is a variant of himself. However, she hates being referred to as Loki, and has decided her name is Sylvie. Her magical ability is enchantment, which manifests as green orbs from her hands. Along with the accurate name, we can assume this is Enchantress, who studied as a sorcerer under Loki in the comics. Now stuck on the planet Lamentis, the two must work together to escape. While Sylvie’s outfit resembles her “original” character, her helmet has a broken horn to symbolize her uniqueness.
Marie from the Aristocats
Marie is a character in the Disney film, The Aristocats. She is the only female kitten of Duchess, and a sister to Berlioz and Toulouse. She is very feminine and makes an effort to appear ladylike. While this attitude makes her quite prissy and spoiled, she has fun playing with her brothers. A hopeless romantic and daydreamer, Marie frequently gets lost in her thoughts, sighing deeply. Pair this inspired look with a pair of white knee socks and shoes, and you’ll be ready to see Paris! For an added feline touch, draw whiskers on with black liquid liner and apply pink blush to your nose.
Osana Najimi from Yandere Simulator
Osana Najimi (voiced by Brittany Lauda) is the first rival the player meets when they start the game Yandere Simulator. She serves as the game’s tutorial and a prickly one at that. Not that you’d know by looking at her style, however. She has a sweet sense of fashion that makes for an excellent cosplay.
Since the game takes place at school, most of Osana’s outfit is a standard school uniform. A white blouse with a blue sailor collar and red necktie, a blue pleated skirt, and black slip on shoes. Her personal style comes in with her long red hair pulled back in pigtails by red scrunches and decorated with a red ribbon bow, and with her pink polka dot socks.
Flora Wingrave from The Haunting of Bly Manor
Flora Wingrave (played by Amelie Smith) is the precious younger sister of Miles in the Netflix series The Haunting of Bly Manor. Flora quickly befriends Dani Clayton when she arrives at Bly as the new governess. She is a sweet child, though she can at times be rather off-putting and even a bit frightening. Flora’s costumes often revolve around a sweet purple and pink palette, making for a “perfectly splendid” range of options to choose from when recreating her look.
