In Assassin’s Creed, Ratonhnhaké:ton, adopted name Connor Kenway, is a master assassin active during the American Revolutionary War. Born into the Kanien’kehá:ka tribe, he is an ancestor of Desmond Miles, who goes on to relive the lives of Altair and Ezio.

Bishop

In X-Men: Days of Future Past, Lucas Bishop (Omar Sy) is a mutant who travels from a dystopian future to join the X-Men in an attempt to redirect history and save the world. His power includes the ability to absorb and redirect kinetic energy.

Master Roshi

In Dragon Ball Z, Master Roshi is an old master of the martial arts, responsible for training Goku and Ox-King among many others. He wears sunglasses and beach clothes, which leads him to believe he’s the epitome of cool and the ultimate stud.

Commando John Matrix

In Commando, Colonel John Matrix (Arnold Schwarzenegger) is a retired Delta Force operator who’s brought back when mercenaries kidnap his daughter, and it’s not long before Matrix himself is abducted. It turns out the mercenaries are made up of members of his former unit who have been decommissioned for enjoying the killing too much, led by a former South American dictator who wishes to carry out a political assassination and kickstart a military coup.

In Captain America: The First Avenger, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) receives an experimental serum, with the aid of Peggy Carter, to transform his frail body into the peak of human ability in order to contribute to the US’s war effort. After a military mission, he’s made to don this colorful costume and tour the country to raise war bonds. Put into a deep sleep for 70 years, it’s not until he awakens to Nick Fury in present time that he puts away this vintage outfit for the Captain America costume we’re all familiar with.

Rico Rodriguez

In Just Cause 3, Rico Rodriguez is an operative for an organization known as the Agency. He returns to his homeland, the fictional Mediterranean island of Medici that has fallen under the control of a military dictatorship. He sets out to resist the dictator and restore freedom to his people.

The Human Spider

In Spider-Man, Peter Parker (Tobey Maguire) starts off with his newfound superpowers not by fighting crime and saving lives, but fighting in a wrestling cage match to win some money. With his homemade costume, he fights as The Human Spider, facing off against Bonesaw McGray (portrayed by Randy Savage). He looks just a bit amateur compared to the Spider-Man costumes made him later in the movie and by Tony Stark in the Avengers movies.
